Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Update 10/29/23 Still available! 9/16/23 Magnus and Smokey have been listed for 209 days with no interest. I’m making it my goal to find them homes before 2023 ends! That means they need shares, lots of shares!!! Winter is coming and these 2 live outside!! Their foster mom loves them so much but they deserve homes of their own! They do NOT need to be adopted together. These boys are so friendly, happy, and loving! Their 3 brothers have been adopted and all of them are doing so well in their adoptive homes. They are about a year old (estimated DOB July 2022) and we believe they are Silver Lab mix. They are NOT high energy like some year old Labs are! They are very playful, sweet, and lovable. Good with other dogs. Cats….probably not. They haven’t been around kids and would probably not be the best match for small kids. They would never hurt a child on purpose, but they are bigger boys and would easily knock over little ones. Unfortunately, they currently live in an outdoor large fenced area, because that’s the only space available for them. Even though they live outside, their foster mom spends A LOT of time with them. Their brothers have all adjusted very well to living in homes and these boys will too! Lets get these boys into nice warm homes with a comfy couches to lay on! Also available for foster!! Neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and started on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $125-$140 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. Story
All adoptions are $300 per dog for puppies under 1 year, $250 for adults 1 - 9 years old and $150 for senior dogs which include spay/neuter, micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots. Senior dogs, at our discretion, are adopted out at $150 per dog because we know they will have less time with your family and may eventually have more needs as they get older. But we feel these dogs deserve to live out the rest of their lives as part of a loving family.

Story
Rowena is a 9ish year old lab mix (we did a DNA test and it came back lab/chow/golden retriever/pointer and several others) - about 60 lbs. She is house/kennel trained, and definitely wants to learn how to dog! She was found in 2019 living in a wood pile in Oklahoma protecting her puppies, so has some trauma there that needs worked through and a dedicated adopter will do so much for her. She needs a very structured living environment and a strong dog-savvy owner. She loves to be outside so would enjoy a nice physically fenced yard (no invisible fencing with her history, sorry). Privacy fencing will be preferred as she guards her territory. She will not do well in an apartment setting since she has a fear of strangers and needs muzzled on walks in strange places. She has been through heartworm treatment and will require an adopter who will keep her on preventatives and regular testing. She does well with dogs as long as they aren't tiny/can't be mistaken for squirrels or rabbits. She chases cats. She is food protective with other dogs, so will need to be fed separate / in kennel as a precaution. Once she is comfortable with you, she likes to snuggle and give kisses and hugs -- but it may take a few weeks for her to warm up fully. No kids for Roe -- fast movements and small creatures with her don't mix. Her adoption fee is $250. If you have an easy-going and patient lifestyle that will give this girl the structure she needs and are interested in meeting Rowena, please put an application in at www.foreverhomedogs.org and we will set up a meet with you!All adoptions are $300 per dog for puppies under 1 year, $250 for adults 1 - 9 years old and $150 for senior dogs which include spay/neuter, micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots.
