Story
We got Bailey from the ARL in December. She is a very sweet dog but because of issues stemming from her behavior we are not able to return her to the ARL. She needs someone who is very good with training dogs who already have issues - she is aggressive towards any dog or person she does not know and will lunge and bark incessantly. She has been good around our kids but will nip on occasion when playing (not hard). She is very high strung and likely needs a big backyard. Never bit anyone but has jumped a fence to go after two small dogs in adjoining yard and will bark/lunge aggressively at kids if she does not know them. She is a cuddlebug and loves to give kisses, very playful. We just no longer feel she is safe at our apartment complex around other dogs but hopefully someone experienced can train her (she does not listen or stop when told no so very difficult to redirect once she gets going). Will need to go to ARL to confirm adoption.

Story
Nala is an eleven month old Lab/Heeler mix. She has been with me since she was 7 weeks old. She is a very active dog. Nala has been diagnosed with anxiety. She takes a medication twice a day. Because of her anxiety, she is scared easily outside. I live in an apartment. She cant go to dog parks because she is scared of other dogs her size or larger. I walk her around 2 miles a day. Nala has done well with smaller dogs. Nala has not been around cats. She is really good with older kids but I dont know if she would be okay with small children. Nala is very sweet and very smart. She will cuddle on the couch with you. However, her favorite thing is fetch and she will play for a long time. I love Nala very much and dont want to let her go. But I feel she would be happier and more relaxed in a quieter setting. She also needs room to run and play that I cant give to her. I absolutely want the best for her, because Nala is a wonderful dog.

Meet Bunni! She's shy with new people, but warms up if you offer her some tasty treats. She's food driven and eager to please. Bunni also loves to give you a serene smile once she knows you're a good person (the kind who gives yummy treats). She's smart and knows to sit and wait for food, and to go in her kennel at night. She's also house trained. She enjoys being outside and playing with toys. She loves to play with other dogs, and she sleeps quietly in her kennel throughout the night. She's great with kids and other dogs. Bunni is about 1 year old and weighs 28 pounds.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats.
