Story
Hi, I'm Kayla, a certified Very Good Girl. I'm a calm, loving pup who loves to lounge on the couch or on my dog bed. I get along well with other dogs, cats, and children of all ages. I can be a little shy around strangers, but once I warm up I promise I'll be your best friend. I'm crate-trained and potty-trained. Also, you know how Kansas is the worst place for people with allergies? It's true for doggies too! I have chronic rhinosinusitus, which is a fancy way of saying I will likely always have a runny nose and will need daily steroid nose drops. I also need special low allergen food to keep me healthy. Besides that, I'm a low-maintenance girl who just wants to love and be loved. To learn more about me and meet me, go to WAALrescue.org/adopt and fill out an application.

Story
Hi there, I'm Osage! I'm just a puppy, full of energy and always ready to play. I'm friendly to everyone I meet, always wagging my tail and ready to make new friends. I enjoy being around children of all ages. I really love a good belly scratch, and I'm known to be quite the cuddler. When you pick me up, I'll gently lay my head on your shoulder. I'm crate-trained and working hard on potty-training. Car rides? Yes please, let's go! I've got a lot of love to give and I'm looking for a family who will return that love. If you're looking for a loyal, playful, and loving companion, I'm your pup! To meet me, go to WAALrescue.org/adopt and fill out an application.

Story
Hi, I'm Bryan, a puppy full of life! Despite a rocky start, I'm the sweetest dog you could meet. I was in rough shape until the WAAL Warriors came along. On a chain in the backyard I was covered in flies, my ears were bloody from all the fly bites, and I was undernourished. I still had some love left and snuggled up in the arms of my hero. I'm not just about wagging tails and playful barks though. I'm a talkative little fellow, always ready for a good chat. My playful spirit keeps things lively, but I know when to be gentle too. I'm looking for a forever home where I can share my boundless love and infectious joy. I get along well with cats, some dogs and kids over twelve. I'm potty trained which makes me a great house guest. To meet me fill out an application at waalrescue.org/adopt.

Story
I've had Tyson since he was 6 weeks old, I love him. He is now 7 years old. Tyson has great energy and is a loving dog. All he wants is to play, walk, and get love. Every spare minute I can afford, I give those things to him. I am extremely busy and do not get much time to do that. He deserves to enjoy his day with someone who can either give him that time or has another dog(s) that he can play with. He plays really well with other dogs, not aggressive in the slightest, has been really healthy his whole life, great weight and markers.

Story
Zia is a great companion, however I was recently in an accident leaving me seriously injured and she isn’t getting a proper amount of exercise she needs. She needs a backyard to run around often in and I’m not going to be able to provide her with that as I would’ve hoped to.

Story
Joplin loves other dogs but likes to play rough. He takes correction well and has been to doggy daycare. When it comes to kids, he can be kinda rough when excited so maybe not small children. He will steal food from kids if the opportunity presents itself. Joplin is potty trained and goes into his kennel easily. He is a people please and listens when you say "no. He knows commands sit, down, kennel, shake, and spin. Joplin has come pretty far with his indoor manners. He hasn't had an accident inside in months, hasn't chewed any shoes lately, not generally destructive indoors. I buy him large beef cheek rolls to chew on because smaller chews do not last very long lol. He is a very active dog and can be obsessive over things like the squirrels and birds in the backyard. I have a 6 foot privacy fence that he used to try to dig under but has not lately. He still digs holes in the yard if not watched though, he loves to dig! He really likes to hang out in the yard no matter the weather. Joplin is kind of hard to walk as he gets distracted by anything that moves and will cross in front of and behind you. Its better to walk him on a quieter path, not near traffic and loads of people. He is extremely friendly but does get spooked by unexpected things on walks, will bark and put up hackles. When he's excited, his manners go out the window. He will start jumping on people and sometimes will get your hand instead of the toy if playing. When we wind down for the night, Joplin loves to cuddle. He has no boundaries and wants to be in your lap or sleeping as close to you as possible. Definitely likes the company of other dogs around the house. He's a pretty big sweetie in general, not at all aggressive. I think he would appreciate a home with more activity than mine (more people to play with and also a dog that likes to play)
