Story
Dog Friendly: No Cat Friendly: No Kid Friendly: Yes, Older Children Meet Griffin: Your Perfect Laid-Back Companion! If you’re in search of a laid-back four-legged friend who’s as intelligent as he is cuddly, look no further than Griffin! This adorable pup is the perfect blend of charm and playfulness, ensuring that there’s never a dull moment when he’s around. Griffin has a delightful personality—he loves to “sploot” (laying with his back legs spread out) to greet you when he’s happy and can’t help but hop around and wiggle his butt when he’s feeling playful. His favorite activities include chasing toys or sticks, and he’ll even take it easy during tug-of-war to keep the fun going. After about 15 minutes of play, Griffin is more than happy to snuggle up on the couch for some well-deserved relaxation. He enjoys short to medium walks and is well-behaved on a leash—though he might get a little excitable if he spots a bunny or squirrel! Griffin is potty trained and does great in a kennel. He’s a true gentleman, never having had an accident or raided the trash or counters. His previous home only kenneled him during thunderstorms, which can make him anxious, so he appreciates a calm environment. While Griffin adores his human companions, he prefers to be the only furry friend in the household. If you’re ready to shower a solo pet with love and attention, Griffin is the perfect match for you!

Story
Meet Loki: The Sweet Herding Boy in Need of a Loving Home! Loki is a charming pup who came to us from the Ponca City shelter in late spring 2021. He’s a typical herding breed with a heart full of love and a playful spirit! On walks, Loki is super sweet and eager to explore, but being a herding breed, he can get a bit excited and nip at times. For this reason, a home without children would be the best fit for him. He thrives with consistent training and responds well to verbal corrections or even a gentle spray from a water bottle. He’s a champ at sitting for treats and loves to shake paws! Loki will need a structured environment and a strong leader to help bring out his best qualities. While he’s been playful with small dogs, he hasn’t done well with dogs his size or larger. Therefore, a home without other dogs would be ideal for his safety and comfort. Athletic and energetic, Loki jumps high and loves to climb, so a secure 6-foot fence in his new home is a must! This smart boy would greatly benefit from the love and attention of a foster or adopter who can help him thrive. If you're ready to provide a structured, loving environment for Loki, he will reward you with endless affection and loyalty. Let’s help Loki find his forever home!

Story
Dog Friendly: Yes Cat Friendly: No Kid Friendly: No Weight: 42 Bruce is such a sweet boy but it takes a little bit of time for him to trust new people and relax. Bruce is smart and thrives with good leadership. He will always need a strong leader and proper introductions to new people. He knows sit, shake, and wait. His boarding buddy has been working with him on not pulling on leash as well as how to handle strangers who may be near him on walks. Bruce enjoys playing with other dogs in doggy daycare. He has some separation anxiety when left so he needs to be crated when the humans are gone. Bruce needs a quiet home without a lot of visitors and without children. He is waiting in boarding and we hope this sweet boy gets the family he deserves soon! Bruce was deemed a potentially dangerous dog (PDD) by the city and must have an adopter or foster out of Wichita city limits.
