Happy, affectionate, playful and friendly, she is the kind of girl who is equally happy heading out for an adventure, playing in the yard or curling up on the couch with her favourite humans. She is a social girl who gets very excited to see her people when they come home, turning herself into a little croissant while wagging her tail with all her might. She does not even need to jump to make sure you know she missed you!Kinsey is fully house trained and can be trusted loose in the home, where she happily spends her days sleeping on the couch or relaxing in the same room as her people. She is comfortable sleeping in a kennel overnight, although she may initially whine or bark and would much rather sleep on the bed with her humans and dog friends. She has wonderful leash manners when walking on her own, although she can become much more enthusiastic and pull when walking alongside other dogs. She enjoys swimming, walks, car rides and relaxing in the backyard, and she has shown no interest in climbing or digging under a five foot fence.Kinsey gets along very well with dogs, cats and older children when given appropriate boundaries and supervision. She lives happily with two dogs and three cats and has even been known to try to lick and clean the cats as though they are puppies! Kinsey does have a history of resource guarding. Her foster family has seen very little of this behaviour, but she has appropriately communicated a boundary around a high value bone with another dog.
