Story
Brock was with us 5 years ago and was adopted, unfortunately his adopted parents are going through some changes in their lives and he is back. While in the home they said that he was very loving and loyal. He doesn't much like small children so he will need a home that is more mature. He is a prefect gentle man on a leash and take treats with the utmost of ease. Brock is also house broken and is 6 years old, so definitely past those crazy puppy days.

Story
Hazel is a sweet, loyal 6–7-year-old, 90-lb girl, believed to be a Boxer/Lab mix, looking for the right FOREVER home. She is affectionate, smart, well-mannered and the perfect combination of active and relaxed. She LOVES chasing a ball non-stop, hiking and long walks, but is equally happy as a couch potato, relaxing beside her people. She loves other dogs and enjoys playing with them, although she can be leash-reactive and bark at some dogs while walking. She also has anxiety with loud noises, like fireworks and thunderstorms. She needs an adult-only home or home with older children, but no young children. After a baby joined her family, she became fearful as the baby became more mobile. She has generally chosen to move away from the child, but we know she needs a quieter, more predictable home. This is an incredibly difficult decision. She is DEEPLY loved, our goal is simply to find this sweet girl a safe, loving home where she can thrive and be happy for the rest of her life.

Story
Meet Ace Ace is a 6-year-old Lab/Pitbull mix with a heart full of joy and a tail that rarely stops wagging. Weighing in at 55 lbs, he’s the perfect medium-sized companion for both playtime and chill time. This happy guy is a fetch enthusiast—seriously, if there’s a ball nearby, Ace is already halfway to retrieving it. Toys are his love language, and he’s perfectly content entertaining himself when you’re busy. Give him a good chew bone, and he’s in his element, happily settled and relaxed. Ace gets along well with laid-back, low-energy dogs, though he’d prefer a proper introduction first to make sure everyone vibes. He may also be able to live with cats, especially with slow, thoughtful introductions that let him adjust at his own pace. If you’re looking for a playful, easygoing companion who knows how to enjoy the simple things in life, Ace might just be your perfect match. If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list. The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, and are dewormed.

Story
*Adoption fee used exclusively to offset costs of food etc that come with rehoming.*Poppins comes with “forever training” from West Michigan K9, on-site at your home to brush up on his training as much as you need.Poppins is a beautiful and energetic dog, but sadly one we can no longer have. She is my daughter’s dog, and with her starting college my wife and I cannot meet Poppins’ needs. She needs plenty of exercise, and is wonderful with other dogs. She’s lived with cats before with no issue, and my 15 month old son can climb on her, tug her ears, feed him treats hand-in-mouth and Poppins is gentle and loving always. She loves people and other dogs so much, and just wants buddies and belly scratches. Yes, she jumps, barks and has separation anxiety, but the training has helped when refreshed and reinforced. Ideally, she finds a multi-dog home. Her only issues stem from being bored and lonely, and needs more buds and activity than our work schedules can ever provide for her.
