Story
Big Bear is a GORGEOUS dog, and 100 pounds of pure love. He's friendly and walks very nicely on a leash. He loves chew toys and is treat-motivated. He already knows sit and shake! Bear is looking for a home without other dogs, but don't worry too much about his size-- he's never been reactive on walks! He also would like only kids who are teen-aged and up since he's not comfortable with the noise and activity level of small children. He's blind in one eye, but that doesn't bother him a bit! It can be a little easy to sneak up on him, so make sure to talk to him if you approach from his blind side. Come meet Big Bear at the Haven to see if he's your new best friend! His estimated DOB is 12/14/15.All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open from 9am-4pm, seven days a week. Story
Meet Girly! She is accustomed to leash walks, loves all the attention you can give her, and seems to get along great with other dogs. She is still very active and could use some training to not jump, due to this we suggest a home with only older children. Girly has so much love to give and craves a family of her own. She would thrive having an active lifestyle which may include walking, swimming, hiking, playing ball, etc. She might act ferocious behind the chainlink fences of the Haven, but Girly really is just a big wigglebutt with the biggest smile. Her estimated DOB is 7/12/18 and she is about 49lbs.All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open form 9am-4pm, seven days a week. Story
Fiber is an extra-handsome, extra playful young dog who came to us from the City of Monett after being abandoned. Fiber is a happy, loyal guy, whose favorite games are fetch and tug-of-war. He does a good job on walks but does pull a bit, so between that, his slightly-sassy attitude, and his energy levels we think he'd do best in a home with older kids. He might take some time to warm up to the men in his new family, but this good boy will do literally anything for bacon. He doesn't get along with cats and will need to meet any potential dog siblings before he goes home! All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. Story
Duckie is such a happy boy. He loves to meet new people and enjoys playing with some of the other young dogs at the Haven. There isn't a toy Duckie doesn't enjoy but he also is known for destroying toys. He is an active young dog that would do well with a fenced yard or long daily walks. He is eager to learn and would love a family of his own. He will definitely sound his very squeaky alarm bark if he believes you're in danger, so he'd make both an excellent companion and guard dog! Story
Meet Blitz, she is a loving and kind dog, but is shy around people she doesn't know and new places. She does not like small dogs (smaller than 30lbs or so), but can get along with bigger dogs with a proper introduction. She enjoys being in a home and going on car-rides. She's a mellow gal, likes to play but is most content when lounging around the house with her people. Her recent foster home spoiled her absolutely rotten, so she may need to lay off the treats for a little while! Then again, it's hard to resist her big brown eyes. All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open form 9am-4pm, seven days a week. Size

Not good with kids, Good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Markus was found in Mark Twain National Forest. He was terrified and didn't understand where he was - a few different families had been rotating feeding him for days until someone decided to see if he'd hop into their truck. Markus instantly knew to load up, and the rest is history!Markus has the potential to make a really great pet for just the right home. He has some barrier-aggression tendencies in the shelter environment, but a family took a chance on him and brought him home. While he was with that family, we learned that Markus bonds very strongly with his one person (he definitely prefers women) and he is very protective of that person, acting not-so-nice to everyone else. The perks of Markus are that he's already potty trained, walks great on a leash, doesn't make messes and is great at keeping himself busy as long as he has a toy. Markus's ideal forever home just needs to be someone who can be a good, strong leader for him, and who can spend a lot of time working with him and a trainer to sort out his issues. We at the Haven know that this sweet boy is worth it!All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open form 9am-4pm, seven days a week.
