Story
The name’s Moose—yes, like the grand, antlered beast, but without the horns and with a whole lot more charm. I’m a seasoned fellow, an older gentleman in the dog world, but don’t let that fool you! I’ve still got plenty of pep in my step, and I can outtalk just about anybody. Conversations? Love ‘em. I’ll chat your ear off about the squirrels in the yard, the art of belly rub negotiations, and the latest happenings on my afternoon walks.I may be a bit wiser these days, but I’m no couch potato. If there’s a ball to chase or a snack to beg for, I’m there, giving it my all. And at the end of the day, I’m your loyal, dignified companion—always up for a cuddle and a heart-to-heart.

Story
Kai has blossomed into a calm and affectionate companion who loves cuddles, quiet walks, and napping in cozy spots. He's 9 months, 37 lbs, neutered, vaxed and chipped. RESCUE STORY: He was rescued along with his siblings from a difficult situation in Cancun where they were living in a lot with no shelter or care. Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses. We are a small operation doing what we can in Mexico. Please help us by adopting one of our incredible dogs. We invest time and love into these incredible animals. We feel that every life matters. We are currently REDUCING our adoption fee to way below cost in order to facilitate finding homes quickly. If you can contribute more, it would be greatly appreciated. Our dogs are mostly house trained but since they live mainly outside, plan on working on that. As his foster, I have worked with him extensively for the past two months. I rarely leash him, as he stays right with me. But on leash, he behaves and does not pull. He is the sweetest, best dog and will make a lucky person a very good pet.

Story
Reba came to us just in the nick of time and she as her nine(!) puppies were about to be euthanized at a high kill CA shelter. She was in very bad shape with underlying allergies causing her major skin problems, skin tumors and a shrunken, blind eye. But she was the best mama ever and now that her puppies have found homes, she would love to find one as well. Reba's very sweet & tender. She is not very confident & can seem timid. Reba loves to play & be with kids. She's good with cats although curious & wants to be playful. She hasn't been socialized as much so can be reactive to sounds & unsure of her surroundings, other dogs & visitors but mostly wants to play, bark or cower. Reba's working on all the above. Shes a 5-6 yr old dog with the approach to life of a 2yr old pup. She has a kind heart and is looking for a family who is willing to give her their time, attention & a chance to earn her trust. She does well in a kennel for bedtime & short stints although not good for her socialization to kennel too much. Her curiosity does drive her to want to run & explore so a fully fenced yard is a must!! If you are interested in meeting Reba, please fill out an application at www.tahoewarf.org and text 775-338-6631 or 775-846-3773.June 24, 2025, 7:57 am
