Stella is the sweetest girl. She is a bit shy at first, but once she is comfortable she is a playful puppy. She is good with other dogs and cats. Would do best in a home with older kids and someone around more often than not. She is working on leash, potty and crate training. What can we say about Burt? You know a dog is special when your canine manager falls in love and wants to take him home! But, she's graciously decided to allow all of you the chance to love this handsome boy! Burt is a 2-year-old lab/shepherd/hound mix (to the best of our knowledge), and possibly the son of Truman, who is also with us. They were both found running around the Blossburg area, maybe trying to start a pack of forest dogs. Once Burt gets a second to sniff you out and trust that you're nice, you've got a friend for life. He's described as a loving and loyal companion who is a fast learner and aims to please. He loves to play fetch with balls and frisbees and really LOVES other dogs, but still asks for a meet and greet just to be extra sure. He seems unsure about cats, so we don't think he's had much exposure to them. Same with kids, but getting him used to new things and experiences in a safe and patient environment would be key. Burt is up to date on vaccines and will be neutered and microchipped soon. He could potentially go home until his appointment. My name is Bear and I arrived at the shelter as a lost and found dog with my son Diesel. I am a chocolate lab who came in with some very bad skin...I was missing a lot of my fur and I was looking pretty rough and my ears were infected. I was one hot mess!!! Happy to say the shelter staff have been taking good care of me and my skin is greatly improving. I am a very happy guy...obviously love my son Diesel - we are soooo connected! We are a bonded pair and we need to be adopted together.
