Story
Meet Nala. She is almost 7 months old, with plenty of energy. She is a very sweet girl who just wants to please. She loves her belly rubs and playing with her ball. Nala loves everybody. She especially seems to gravitate to men. She has become buddies with the mailman and the FedEx man. She also likes kids. Once evening hits, Nala is a huge snuggle bunny and wants to sleep on your lap. She is also intelligent, and she's learned some "manners". She is not aggressive at all, but she still likes to jump up on you and give playful nips. She really needs a fenced in yard where she can run and jump all she wants and needs. Nala is potty trained, although has an accident now and then, if we can't get to the door fast enough to let her out. If interested in meeting this sweetie, please submit an application. Please note that all current pets must be up to date on vaccines and spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason. Please do not forget to give you vet permission to speak to us. www.pawzandpurrz.org RR335

Story
Meet Atticus! Intake date: 6/20/2024 Gender: Neutered male Current weight: 60 lbs Due to no fault of his own this goofy fun-loving guy was surrendered. Atticus is your typical lab, he loves to run, play catch, go for walks, and craves attention. He gets along great with dogs, and kids. He is a little unsure of cats, but we think he would adjust just fine to living with cats. Atticus is 6 years old and does need a little work with his leash manners. He knows how to sit and shake and is very eager to learn new things. Atticus is up to date with vaccines and will be getting neutered this week. If you are interested in Atticus, apply today!

Story
What she needs: Her ideal home would be acreage for her to roam on, a home with no kids or older ones if you do have kids. She's okay with some dogs and doesn't care for others. Not sure how she determines who she likes and who she doesn't. She definitely doesn't like puppies. She loves to attach to her "person". She is a great companion. Has a cute, excitable personality when she's about to do something she loves. She stays right by me during walks or 4-wheeler rides. She smiles and smiles when you scratch her belly. She'll lay by my feet while I work all day. She loves snuggles and sleeps on my bed every night. She loves hiking, swimming, fetching a ball is a favorite, snuggling on the couch and going on adventures in the car. She's very calm in the house with your day to day activities. Her ideal home would be with someone that doesn't travel often as she does struggle with the separation anxiety. Let me know if you're interested

Story
Buddy is the sweetest boy. He is an (estimated) 6 year old Lab mix. He is the happiest when he is with you and will follow you anywhere. He is hoping his new home will let him sleep with them and promises not to take up to much room!!! All he wants is love. He weighs 60 pounds even though he looks much bigger and one of his eyes is half brown and half blue. Buddy loves kids, is great with all the dogs here and is very interested in the cats, so probably a home with no feline friends. He does the cutest little tap dance while he is waiting for his food!! He will lay by your feet and be a loyal companion. His adoption fee is $250 and he has been neutered and fully vetted. Please go to the website and fill out an application if you are interested in meeting him. www.susieqdogresq.com

Story
My name is Mia and I arrived at the shelter as a result of a cruelty/neglect case. I came in with another dog named Milo and both of us were very skinny and very afraid....I did gain more confidence as the staff have been helping me overcome my shyness and helping me to learn that the world isn't such a scary place....and people are my friends and want to take care of me. I would do best in a home without a lot of activity...I am looking for a calm home and looking for someone who has patience and is willing to go slow with me and I guarantee even though I am wallflower now...I want to blossom into social butterfly some day
