Story
Smokey arrived at our rescue alongside his sister, Ember, when they were only 11 weeks old. The two puppies had been part of a group of stray dogs roaming the county roads around Mounds, Oklahoma. A woman who noticed all of these strays had been doing her best to feed them, but she knew they needed more help than she could provide. When Smokey first came to us, he was frightened and unsure of everything around him. He was covered in fleas and ticks and had worms, but thankfully, he was finally in a place where he could get the care he needed. After receiving his medications, a warm bath, good meals, cozy bedding, toys, and plenty of patience and affection, Smokey began to realize that he was safe. Little by little, his personality started to shine through. Now, Smokey is a sweet, happy puppy who enjoys attention, playtime, and being around people. He has gone from a scared little stray who didn't know what to expect to a puppy who knows what love and kindness feel like. Smokey has so much love to give and is ready for a family who will continue to show him just how wonderful life can be. ❤️

Story
Coco lived her whole life outside under a abandoned house. Concerned neighbors contacted us about her after realizing she was pregnant. It took us two weeks to finally get her, but unfortunately it was too late, She had all 9 puppies and not one of them made it. Once getting her into our shelter she's slowly coming out of her shell. At first she would not go out to go potty we had to wheel her out on a trolly back and fourth, terrified she would just hide in the back of her kennel. We put her on an antidepressant and after a week or so of that we decided to take her outside with other dogs and we saw a completely different side of her. She lit up and was so happy to have a friend. Coco is still frightened when its time to walk outside but is getting better, once she's out there, she runs around and plays like a little deer. She has become our new dog testing dog because she has that good mama dog energy. Even though she is very scared she has no aggression and will never ever bite no matter how frightened she is, you can pick her up and handle her in anyway. Her funny awkward personality will need such a special home but I believe once she's around other dogs she will truly blossom. Coco would make an amazing dog for anyone that wants a low energy easy animal who is super dog and cat friendly.

Story
Ember came to us with her brother, Smokey, at just 11 weeks old. The two were part of a group of stray dogs living along the county roads in Mounds, Oklahoma. A kind woman nearby had been feeding them, but she simply wasn’t able to provide them with the care they needed. When Ember and Smokey arrived, they were covered in fleas and ticks and had intestinal worms. They were scared, unsure of their new surroundings, and didn’t yet understand that they were finally safe. With medication, warm baths, nutritious meals, soft beds, toys, and lots of love and TLC, something beautiful happened, these two scared little puppies came out of their shells. Today, Ember is a happy, playful puppy who loves attention and is learning what it means to be loved and cared for. She has discovered that people can be kind, meals come regularly, toys are meant for playing, and she never has to worry about where her next safe place will be. Ember has come such a long way in such a short time, and she is now ready to find the loving forever family she deserves

Story
Hazel ✨ 4 years old | Loyal | Ready for forever Hazel is the kind of dog who loves deeply once you’re hers. She’s affectionate, playful, loyal, and happiest simply being near her people. The kind of companion who will follow you from room to room just because she loves being part of your world. And at 4 years old? She’s past the chaos and into the sweet spot: ✔️ Housebroken ✔️ Crate trained ✔️ Leash trained ✔️ Excellent in the car ✔️ Professional cuddle enthusiast Hazel can be selective with other dogs, and honestly? After everything she’s been through, we don’t blame her. She may do well with the right respectful canine companion, or she may be happiest soaking up all the love as your one-and-only. What matters most is this: Hazel has waited patiently for someone to choose her. Not for a weekend. Not until something “easier” comes along. Forever. If you’ve been looking for a loyal best friend with a huge heart and so much love left to give, Hazel is right here waiting.
