👑 Meet Lulu: Couch Royalty Extraordinaire 👑 Lulu is a lovable little mess—in the best way. She gets so excited that her tail turns into a helicopter… sometimes with enough force to injure itself. 💫 That tail wag? It’s powered by pure love and leaves a trail of confetti joy behind her. 🎉🐾 Lulu knows she’s a princess. She prefers lounging with a bone on the patio, followed by another bone (naturally) while reclining on her throne—the couch. 👑🛋️ Adventures? Eh. Too much. Car rides? Also too much. But belly rubs, snacks, and a quiet afternoon? Absolutely perfect. She’s not a fan of farm life (livestock = chaos), but kids? She loves them. Cats? Also her vibe. They both enjoy the same hobby: minimal movement. 😸 Lulu’s past hasn’t been the kindest, so she’s a bit hesitant at first—but once you’ve earned her trust, you’ll have her whole big heart. 💉 Spayed 🛡️ Up to date on vaccines & preventatives 📍 Microchipped 💸 Adoption Fee: $175 She’s waiting for her forever family—the one that will love her exactly as she is: wiggly, loyal, couch-loving, and full of heart. 💕 Apply through Legacy of Hope Dog Rescue to make this royal girl yours!

Story
Brawnie is a handsome Great Pyrenees–Lab mix with the heart of a gentle giant and the soul of a couch potato. He’s totally convinced he’s an inside dog and would happily spend all day lounging on the couch or your bed. Unless it’s raining or dark—then his zoomies come out to play! Treats make his world go ’round, and nothing beats a good round of scritches from his favorite people. This big boy will grow to over 100 pounds, but don’t be fooled—he moves lightly and carries himself with grace. Brawnie is great with other dogs, friendly with cats, and loves being part of the family. He’s crate trained, mostly potty trained (with just a little happy pee now and then), and always eager to please. Whether he’s curled up beside you for TV time or wiggling with joy when you walk in the room, Brawnie’s gentle, loving nature shines through.

Story
Dilly's story is absolutely heartbreaking. Dilly had lived her whole life with her owner up until June 21, 2024. It was a Friday night when we got a call from the police department, who sent an officer out to do a welfare check on a person. Unfortunately when we arrived on scene, we were notified that Dilly had been inside of her home with her deceased owner for an unknown time. Obviously Dilly was very traumatized, scared, and shutdown when she arrived at the shelter. Every time we tried to reach out to Dilly to pet or love on her she would yelp as if we hurt her, even though we didn't actually touch her. Dilly spent months in our care before she finally let us pet her. Now Dilly has improved a lot but needs a foster or an adopter. We were recently told by a family member that Dilly is good with kids and other dogs, but not cats. Dilly is slow to warm up at first but is a total love bug once she trusts you. Dilly spent her entire life up to this point with her owner, so that's partly why she's slow to warm up. Click the link to adopt: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CACO/Dog

Story
Beauty came to us as a stray that was left unclaimed. We're not exactly sure on her age, but our best guess is around 4. She still has some playful energy, but she can also be a laid back snuggle bug. She does have a little bit of white powdered sugar on the bottom of her chin. Beauty was named after the book "Black Beauty". While she appears to be a tad older than some dogs at a shelter, we're not sure how someone could ever give her up or let her go. She's a smart gal who knows how to sit, shake, and lay down. She walks wonderful on leash. Beauty does love her spa days otherwise known as baths, and behaves like a wonderful lady. Beauty also seems house/potty trained, as she frequently keeps a fairly clean kennel. She does seem to be dog selective, as she seems to get along better with the older dog club. Beauty was microchipped when we got her but it was through a company that went out of business, so there was not a way to try and get owner contact info. We have since registered her through us. Beauty is scheduled to be spayed, heartworm tested, vaccinated, and current on monthly preventions. Beauty's adoption fee is waived.

Story
Ah yes, Buffalo Bill — the four-legged heart thief who’s out here giving therapy dog energy with the face of an angel and the emotional depth of a Nicholas Sparks protagonist. This guy’s charm level is borderline criminal. He’ll lean in for cuddles like it’s a full-contact sport, melting into you with the kind of sincerity that makes you forget about personal space altogether. He’s the kind of dog who’d write you love letters if he had thumbs — instead, he just stares straight into your soul and lets his tail do the talking. Basically, Buffalo Bill is out here proving that “man’s best friend” was underselling it. He’s more like “man’s emotional support blanket wrapped in fur and pure adoration.” At just 6 weeks old and a whopping 7 pounds of fluff and mischief, this Border Collie (possibly Lab) mix is proof that charm is, in fact, genetic. His mama, the legendary Belle Starr, was rescued from the “urgent list” just in time to bring her little gang of heart thieves into the world — and Bill’s been stealing hearts ever since. He’s got the softest fur, the sweetest disposition, and the kind of soulful eyes that could convince even the toughest cowboy to hand over their last chicken nugget. Buffalo Bill is a six-week-old heartthrob who thinks everyone he meets is part of his fan club — and honestly, he’s not wrong. He adores other dogs, mostly because they make excellent wrestling partners, snack-sharing buddies, and role models for how to look heroic while zooming across the yard. When it comes to kids, Bill’s convinced they were invented purely for his entertainment. He loves their energy, their sticky fingers, and the fact that they drop snacks like rookie waiters. He’s gentle but curious, the kind of puppy who will follow them from room to room just to make sure they don’t do anything fun without him. And cats? Well, Bill’s got options. He might choose one to be his new best friend, or he might sit there and study them like a furry little philosopher, trying to figure out how they manage to look both judgmental and fabulous at the same time. Either way, he’s not here for drama — just wholesome friendship and maybe a shared nap in a sunbeam. Basically, Buffalo Bill is an equal-opportunity lover of all creatures great and small. If it breathes, he wants to snuggle it. If it moves, he wants to follow it. And if it’s got a snack — well, now it’s his best friend for life. Buffalo Bill’s energy level sits solidly at a 3 out of 10, which means he’s basically the emotional support therapist of the puppy pile. He’s the kind of puppy who radiates calm. Most of his day is dedicated to spreading good vibes and acting like a walking weighted blanket. He’ll lean in for hugs, melt into your lap, and then stare at you with those big soulful eyes that make you rethink every life decision that didn’t involve adopting him sooner. And yes, he’s a charmer. The kind who doesn’t even try — he just blinks those long lashes, tilts his head, and you’re done for. He’s got that “old soul in a fluffy body” thing going. Now listen here, partner — before you go ridin’ off into the sunset with little Buffalo Bill, you best know what kind of adventure you’re signin’ up for. Sure, he’s cute enough to win a county fair ribbon just for existing, but he’s still a puppy — which means you’ll be dealin’ with all the classic rookie outlaw shenanigans. As for socialization, this little cowpoke’s got some learnin’ to do out on the range. New sights, sounds, and critters can make a pup’s mind spin faster than a tumbleweed in a dust storm, so you’ll need to show him the ropes — kindly, patiently, and with plenty of treats. Yes, he’s working on potty training, but like any rookie sharpshooter, his aim might not always hit the mark. So saddle up with patience, paper towels, and a sense of humor — you’re gonna need all three. So if you’re ready to saddle up for the grand adventure of raising a puppy — complete with snuggles, mischief, and the occasional “what in tarnation happened to my sock?” moment — Buffalo Bill’s your boy. He’s lookin’ for a family that can handle the rodeo and still end every night with belly rubs and love. He’s not quite ready to ride off into the sunset just yet; this little gunslinger still needs a few more weeks in foster care to grow big and strong. But by the first weekend in November, he’ll be packing his mini saddlebag and ready to gallop straight into your arms. So if you’re ready to add a legend-in-the-making to your posse, saddle up and fill out an adoption application at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app so we can send it over to his foster family. Then dust off your boots, hop in your wagon (or, you know, your car), and head to Oklahoma City, OK, because that’s where this tiny outlaw will be waiting to meet his forever folks. Don’t miss your chance — this level of adorable outlaw doesn’t linger long in these parts.
