Story
Demmit may not be the 1-pound teeny-tiny baby he came to us as anymore, but he still thinks he belongs in your arms! This 3.5-month-old mixed breed pup absolutely melts when you pick him up and gives the best snuggles and kisses. He loves his siblings, although he can definitely be a bit much! Demmit would do best in a home with another young, rambunctious dog who can keep up with him, but also isn't afraid to put him in his place and help him learn his manners. He adores children and wants to be the baby of the family, so older kids who can happily carry him around are his preference. He's working on potty training and already knows exactly what those potty pads are for! He's also curious about cats and, so far, has been respectful. He may not be pocket-sized anymore, but in his mind, he's still your baby-and he fully intends to be carried accordingly. Visit our website at legacyofhopedogrescue.us to fill out an application!

Size

Good with kids, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
She's housebroken. Crate trained. Leash trained. Great in the car. And highly experienced in the important field of professional cuddling. She's affectionate, playful, loyal, and happiest when she's hanging out with her people. Follow you from room to room? Absolutely. Keep you company while you do absolutely nothing? Her specialty. Hazel can be selective about her dog friends, so she may be happiest as your one-and-only-or with the right respectful canine companion. But here's the thing about Hazel... She isn't looking for temporary. She isn't looking for "let's see how it goes." She's looking for HER people. Her home. Her forever. So while summer overstays its welcome, Hazel is over here waiting for the season that matters most: The season where someone finally chooses HER. Could that someone be you? Story
Wesley is about as brave as his name sounds. This 3.5-month-old Lab mix is already a big boy-and he doesn't look like he plans on slowing down anytime soon! He absolutely adores his siblings, but compared to his rambunctious brothers and sisters, Wesley is a true gentle giant. He's working on potty training and doing pretty well with crate training, especially when he has a solid schedule. Now, about that bravery... Wesley is not a fan of the great outdoors. He much prefers the comfortable temperatures, soft cushions, and general luxury of the couch. In other words, Wesley is an indoor cat. Story
Darla is the sweetest little thing... as long as her brothers aren't involved. She doesn't like being alone, but she does love a good wrestling match! This 3 1/2 -month-old Pit Bull mix is looking for a family who can help her learn that she can be brave-even when a brother isn't there to go first. She's figuring out potty training, believes crates are meant for everyone but her, and strongly prefers a soft, comfy bed. She does especially well with potty training when she can copy someone else's good example. Basically, Darla is sweet, silly, and still figuring out this whole puppy thing. Story
NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS: MORTY'S BEST FRIEND The Best Friend Department is officially open for applications, because Mordecai has a serious social problem. You see, the resident dogs have formed a clique. They have their little group chats. Their inside jokes. Their exclusive hangouts. Their "Sorry, Morty, this meeting is for members only" attitude. And Morty? Morty is being Mean-Girled by dogs... He wants to PLAY. He wants to WRESTLE. He wants to run around like a maniac and then immediately become your 50-pound lap dog. He would like a friend who appreciates his particular brand of "I LOVE YOU SO MUCH THAT I HAVE FORGOTTEN PERSONAL SPACE EXISTS." Unfortunately, the resident dogs have apparently decided he is not cool enough for their club. So we are taking matters into our own hands. APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR: MORDECAI'S BEST FRIEND(TM) Must be willing to: - Play ridiculous games - Tolerate enthusiastic wrestling - Accept that personal space is merely a suggestion - Keep up with a growing puppy who has approximately two dozen trains of thought at any given moment - Be prepared for sudden snuggles - NOT be a member of the resident-dog Mean Girls committee Morty is looking for a dog friend who actually wants to be his friend. Someone who will run with him, play with him, wrestle with him, and generally participate in the daily chaos instead of standing around judging him from across the room. And yes, we are accepting applications from humans, too. A fun, active family who wants a big goofy puppy to be part of the adventure would be absolutely perfect. Morty has SO much love, personality, and ridiculousness to give. He just needs someone willing to say: "Yeah, Morty. You can sit with us." Best Friend Applications are open now. Because nobody puts Morty in the corner. Visit our website at legacyofhopedogrescue.us to fill out an application!

Story
Seriously... HOW is Pepper still waiting?! This gorgeous German Shepherd mix is smart, silly, affectionate, adventurous, and just the right amount of puppy chaos. Basically, if you want a best friend with four legs and a very busy brain, Pepper is accepting applications. She's crate trained, potty trained, walks pretty well on a leash, and already has great manners-with just a little puppy polishing left to do. She's incredibly smart and eager to learn, so she'd love a family who will keep her mind and body busy with training, adventures, games, and fun. Pepper LOVES other dogs, especially bigger ones who can keep up with her enthusiastic play style. Since she occasionally forgets she's not actually a tiny dog, older kids would be the best fit. She's ready for hikes, adventures, zoomies, learning new things, and loving her people with her whole heart. She'll bring the brains and personality. You bring the snacks.
