Story
We rescued Tux when he was 8 months old . He is now 15.5 yrs. He loves being around people . He’s sweet , loves walks , sleeps a lot . He has arthritis so he has a bit of a “ hop a long “ at times . Loves to be around other dogs . It would be great if the adopted parents have other dog (s). He’s been well loved , I am having heath problems and I am unable to care for him properly. Sad.

Story
Meet Krash! Krash is a gentle soul with a heart full of love. He came to the Ranch alongside a momma dog and her litter of puppies after being found at a local towing company — his past may be a mystery, but his future is full of hope! When Krash first arrived, he was shy and kept to himself, often retreating to his dog house. But with time and patience, he’s blossomed into a sweet, affectionate boy who absolutely loves soaking up belly rubs and giving gentle kisses. His favorite move? Rolling over to invite all the cuddles he can get! Krash might be a quiet guy, but he’s got good manners! While he’s still learning his commands, he walks beautifully on leash and always knows to be gentle with his people. His calm and mellow personality makes him the perfect match for someone seeking a relaxed, loving companion. Plus, he’s great with both male and female dogs, making him an easy-going addition to a multi-dog home! If you’re looking for a sweet, low-key best friend who will shower you with love, Krash might just be your guy. Give the Ranch a call today to meet him! &#226&#156&#168 Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. While they are with us, each and every rescue dog receives the best of care in a loving and nurturing environment. Their routines include daily playgroups or partnering with dog buddies, quality time walking or being groomed, and two meals a day with dog biscuits for dessert.  All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.  The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300 (unless a reduced fee applies )  APPLY NOW       October 10, 2025, 6:39 pm

This spunky, outgoing young lovebug is bursting with energy and affection—and he’s got the perfect mix of playfulness and snuggle skills. Whether he’s zooming around during playtime or curling up for a cozy cuddle session, Rocket knows how to make every moment count. Rocket’s a star player in playgroups and knows his doggy manners like a champ. He loves making furry friends and thrives when he’s got other pups to chase and wrestle with. Found as a stray, Rocket’s past is a bit of a mystery, but you’d never guess it—he acts like he’s always been surrounded by loving humans. His signature happy dance will have you grinning every time he spots his favorite people or dinner coming his way. Though Rocket is still learning the ropes of basic obedience, he’s already impressing everyone with his leash manners, often staying close by your side on walks like the perfect co-pilot. Story
Meet Shea – A Smart, Curious Boy with a Heart Full of Love (and a Serious Treat Addiction!) Shea is an energetic, playful pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Coming from a challenging start in a hoarding situation, Shea has already come a long way and continues to shine as he learns to trust and explore the world around him. During his time in a foster home, Shea proved just how fast he can learn—especially when treats are involved! He’s already mastered sleeping peacefully in his crate, walks nicely on a leash, and loves playing and learning from his doggy pals. He thrives with at least one canine companion who can keep up with his boisterous, playful energy and help guide him as he navigates new experiences. Though curious and full of life, Shea is still building confidence in new environments and around new people. He’s looking for a patient, loving family who will give him the time, guidance, and reassurance he needs to continue blossoming into the amazing dog he’s becoming. Why Shea Could Be Perfect for You: Smart, quick learner, and treat-motivated Loves and learns from other dogs; thrives with a furry companion Playful, energetic, and full of curiosity Ready for a patient, loving home to help him grow confident and happy Shea has already made incredible progress and is ready for the next chapter of his life—with a family who will celebrate every step of his journey. Could your home be the safe, loving place Shea has been waiting for? Call the Ranch today to meet him! This puppy, as well as several other dogs and puppies, are currently in our program through a special collaboration with Siskiyou County Animal Control.  Due to severe overcrowding and limited resources in the region, many shelters are faced with incredibly difficult decisions. Together, we’re working to give these dogs a better chance by finding them loving homes or transferring them to partner rescues. They’re available for adoption just like our Rescue Ranch pups — but because of the urgency of the situation, they may be transferred quickly. If you're interested, we highly encourage you to act fast — they deserve a loving home, and it could be yours!  When they are at least 8 weeks old, puppies are given a wellness exam by a licensed veterinarian.  Before going home, all puppies will have been dewormed and received all age-appropriate vaccinations for parvo/distemper, and Bordetella. If they are 4 months or older they will also have their rabies vaccination. All p uppies are also microchipped and registered with    911PetChip  We require spay/neutering of puppies at 6-8 months old (or the appropriate age for giant breeds)  by our veterinarian. The procedure is covered by the adoption fee. Alternatively, adopters can choose to have the procedure done by their own vet (proof required),  and a portion of the cost will be refunded.     All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.  The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300 (unless a reduced fee applies )  APPLY NOW       December 3, 2025, 8:14 pm

Story
Meet Fernando – Your Cuddly, Rock-Loving Best Friend! If you're searching for a dog who’s full of love, personality, and a few adorable quirks, look no further than Fernando! This affectionate young pup is equal parts snuggle bug, rock enthusiast, and loyal companion. Fernando’s love for humans truly knows no bounds—he adores people of all ages and sizes, from tiny toddlers to grown-ups. Whether he’s curling up with you on the couch or greeting you with a wagging tail and sparkling eyes, his favorite place to be is right by your side. One of Fernando’s most charming quirks? His obsession with rocks. He doesn’t just play with them—he treasures them. You’ll often find him carrying his favorite rock into his dog house, settling down gently, and almost whispering to it like it’s his most prized possession. It’s the kind of sweet, silly behavior that makes everyone who meets him fall in love. Fernando is also incredibly smart and eager to please. He already knows several commands, including “Sit,” “Wait,” “Lie Down,” and “Leave it.” He walks nicely on a leash and is very responsive to his handler, making him a joy to continue training with. He gets along well with medium to large, respectful dogs and would enjoy having a canine playmate. That said, he’d do best in a home without cats or small animals, as he has a bit of a chase instinct. If you're looking for a loyal, intelligent, and wonderfully quirky dog who will love your whole family—big and small—Fernando might just be the perfect addition to your home. Call or visit the Ranch to meet Fernando today—he’s ready to rock your world (and cuddle you while doing it)!
