This 4 year old Lab/Hound is a sweet, loving angel baby...who has never once considered lowering the volume. Silence? Not in his vocabulary. Squirrel? Announcement. Leaf? Announcement. Car door closing three doors down? Urgent announcement. You move slightly? Breaking news! Hounds were bred to use their voices and this guy said "say less." He is deeply comitted to keeping everyone informed at all times. If there is something happening, he will narrate it. If nothing is happening, he'll still narrate it. The good news! He is extremely sweet, loves people, he has goofy lab charm with dramatic hound flair, and he genuinely wants to be your best friend. He wound thrive in a home with space to let his inner town crier shine. Rural property preferred, sense of humor required. Aspen was found on 3/1/2026 at the Santa Clara Community Park in Eugene. She came into the not yet spayed. If you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. Since this dog is new to the shelter and we are still looking for their family, they are not viewable on the adoption floor at this time.The shelter staff is giving me some time to settle in and adjust to this new place. As we get to know each other a little better, the behavior team and veterinary staff will then be evaluating my needs. Please stay tuned for my updated information!Our shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable and for most dogs we are only guessing at their primary breed. Maxine was found on 3/2/26 near Valley River Center Mall. She came into the shelter not yet spayed. If you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503.
