Story
Hi! My name is Chai ☕🐾 My sister River and I are 3-month-old Lab mix puppies, and we just arrived at Heartland in search of our forever homes. We’re sweet girls who love humans of all ages—even if we’re a little shy when first meeting new people. Give us a moment, though, and once we know you’re a friend, we warm right up! I especially love being close to my humans for lots of cuddles, and we both enjoy playing with toys, going on walks, and even getting brushed (spa day, anyone?). We get along great with other dogs and kids, but we’d prefer a home without cats, please. We’re smart pups and already know some basic commands—pretty impressive for babies, if we do say so ourselves! Full disclosure: we’re still working on house-training, but with patience, understanding, and support from our new families, we’re confident we’ll have it mastered in no time. If you’re searching for one sweet new family member—or maybe even two—we might be the perfect match. Give Heartland a call to set up a meet and greet. We can’t wait to meet you! 💛🐶

I may be a little shy at first when meeting new people, but once I know you’re a friend, I warm up quickly and show my loving side. Story
Briar is a chocolate lab/pitbull mix. She is 5 years old (Nov. 11th is her birthday). She has quite a few allergies, especially to foods and requires allergy shots every 3 months to keep her outdoor allergies at bay (will start to itch a lot and bleed if she doesn’t get her shot on time). She is extremely sweet, very gentle, energetic, LOVES her balls and will carry one at all times but never give it to you. She’s great with kids and other dogs, is terrified of cats. Is pretty skidish and has a lot of anxiety especially in new environments. Honestly, there’s no much I can complain about for her. She’s a great dog and it breaks my heart letting her go but I’m going through a custody battle right now and just don’t have the time or budget for her anymore.

Story
Moose is a fantastic family pet. Unfortunately, we have allergies and small children and can no longer give him the care and time he deserves. He has done wonderfully with other dogs in the past, but has not been around other dogs in a few years. He has never met a cat. We have had Moose for about 4 years and adopted him from a shelter as a puppy. We are looking for an active family; Moose loves walks and to play fetch. He also loves kids and is very tolerant of their shenanigans. He rarely barks, except for outside and when there is a knock at the door. But he quickly stops when his name is called. He has run out of our yard when the gate was left open and when told to go home he came right back! He truly is a wonderful dog and we are so sad to give him up. He will come with a kennel, food, and gravity food and water bowls, and whatever other toys, treats, and gear we have.

Story
Meet Betsy! A 5 year old, 75 pound, fluff of love looking for a place to call her own. She’s full of energy and loves to run and play. She’s a fan of playing tag but absolutely loves to wrestle with her doggy companions. Although she didn’t grow up with cats, she seems to have a few mixed feelings about them – some she leaves alone while others she will try and chase. Betsy loves everyone that she meets and cannot wait to wow you with her sweetness! Betsy is searching for a home due to her elderly owner no longer able to continue caring for her. Betsy is started on basic obedience, leash manners, and has some off leash training. She is kennel and house trained as well. Betsy is a medium energy level and she is used to being on the go during the day!

Story
Sadie is an approximately 6-9 month old Black Lab/Border Collie mix puppy who was found during the summer all alone. She’s a high energy gal who lives to run, play, and be your best friend! Sadie does well with other dogs and loves to play. She tries to play with the cats, but the cats feel she should stay in her own lane! She has done well with the children she’s met and she just wants to be their best friend. Sadie is kennel trained, working on house training, and learning her basic obedience and leash manners. She is a medium/high energy level and needs daily walks/exercise. She is food motivated and wants to please which helps her be a fast learner!
