Story
Amazon is 8 years old and is a good girl. I just don’t give her the attention she needs. I am a foster parent. And I currently have a baby girl who is 8 months old and I work as a special education teacher. Amazon was supposed to be trained as a support dog, but in 4 months she only made it through the obedience training. She is rather timid. I got her shortly after I lost my husband and 5 year old little boy to a drunk driver. Amazon had her place in my life and was good for me to have, but now I just don’t have the time she deserves. She loves to swim, play fetch, and play tug of war. I just want her to be somewhere she can get some more love and affection. Thanks, Jen Mier

Story
Meet Royalty, our 86-pound chocolate Lab king with a heart of gold looking for a place to call home. Almost 6 years old, Royalty is that perfect blend of grown-up good boy and big bouncy Lab energy. He loves fetch, keeps his kennel clean, and knows “sit” with a few other basic commands. He previously lived with another large Lab, so he’s used to sharing space and being part of a doggy duo, but we would recommend bringing in your canine companion to meet. Let us know if this goofy, regal boy would be a good fit for your throne! Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $275+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.
