Story
Don't make fun of Gordon's flyaway ears--they can change on a dime! Sometimes flat against his head, sometimes flying out to the side, but always listening to all the good things you'll say about him when you meet him! Well-mannered and an active, loyal pal, Gordon is housebroken and kennel-trained, and while he's lived with another dog before, he doesn't like to share his toys or food and just might prefer to get all of your attention as a solo pup! Respectful older children would be the best fit for Gordon in a chicken-free family setting (he's a little too fond of chickens!!). Gordon's sleek jet-black coat, gentle way and piercing eyes hint at the soul dog he longs to be for a very lucky human. Talk to our friendly staff about adopting Gordon...he's all ears! Doggie Day Out report: Gordon enjoyed riding around and visiting the park, downtown, and even tractor supply. He loaded up all by himself and was the best passenger rider. All the new smells were so exciting for him, and he stayed on his best behavior. He gives no problems on the leash and is all around the happiest boy ever!

Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with dogs, Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Mac Daddy was in the middle of a busy major FM road when he fortunately scooped up by a passer by who then contacted the rescue. Mac has come a very long way since that! He has learned from the house pack and is quite the couch potato! His hobbies include squirrel chasing, checking peemail, eating, won't share his dining experience though. Loves being silly with his human, tummy rubs and lazing on the couch, chair or a pup bed. Mac is a long, 'lowrider' stature guy. He is very social with people, tends to be submissive with humans, has done well with large/small dogs of the big housepack fosters. He would do best with a well-balanced dog or would be happy as an only dog in the home. Mac is affectionately known by the neighbors on the gravel road as 'THE BUTLER" because he loves greeting people at the gate if they stop by to drop off something or walking for exercize if he's out and loves the attention. He loves riding in a vehicle and is a really well-behaved dude!

Not good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs special attention, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Gerry is a gentle giant, and he is very affectionate with a sweet and loving heart. Gerry will be 6 years old in March (7th, 2026). Gerry was adopted from a Texas ranch at the age of 6 weeks old, and I've had him ever since. Gerry is an excitable and high-energy dog, and requires a lot of space (indoors and outdoors) - more than what I can provide for him right now or in the near future. Gerry loves to be outside more than anything and is intrigued by anything that moves, especially squirrels. Gerry is a Labrador, and therefore, quite the shedder. This can be exacerbated by his general environmental allergies, so he will need to go to a home that doesn't mind some extra fur on the floor! As Gerry has gotten older, Gerry has become less friendly with other dogs despite being socialized with them since he was only a few weeks old. Although it appears breed-specific, we don't recommend he goes to a home that already has dogs. Gerry is good with cats that can stand their ground!

(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Story
Pam was brought to our rescue as a stray that was dumped in the woods and found by a Good Samaritan along with another female dog that looks very similar to her. She is an adorable, petit dog that loves people!! She is energetic, fun, super playful, and adores people of all ages, including children. She has a very funny habit of letting you know when it's time to eat by taking her food bowl and playing with it like a toy! Pam would do well in any type of home, whether it be active or relaxed, she would adapt to her environment well. She is very food motivated and is extremely eager to please. Pam is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and heartworm negative so she's ready to find her loving forever home! Please contact our rescue if you are interested in adopting or fostering. We will schedule a day/time for you to meet our adoptable animals first. If you decide to adopt or foster, we will provide an application to be approved. Once approved, an adoption or foster contract is signed. If you are fostering, you will be provided with all necessary items for the pet (food, bowls, crate, collar, leash, etc.). If adopting, we require an adoption fee that covers a portion of the cost of veterinary care. This is fully refundable for the life of the pet should the adoption fall through at any point. We will always take our pets back regardless of the situation.
