Story
This little sweetheart is Joanie! Although you won’t find this girl in Arnold’s Diner with Chachi, she is still ready to make a ton of Happy Days for some lucky family. Joanie is loving, playful, sometimes funny, but also a bit of a firecracker when the others get a little rough. Joanie is a super smart little girl who is quickly learning obedience commands, and took to her crate training immediately. Is she potty trained yet? No. But is she trying with all her heart? Absolutely! And she’s doing great. And when you see her lying in her cute little frog leg pose, you’ll just melt into her big brown eyes and realize that she will do anything to make you happy. Joanie is a little sponge, soaking up all of the training offered to her, and will be an amazing dog. Plus, did you notice her cute little milk mustache? Yeah, she’s a heart breaker. With Joanie in your life, Sunday, Monday, and every day will be Happy Days! (Sorry about the ear worm.) Joanie is a 5 month old Lab/Aussie/Border Collie according to her DNA test, mixed with Amazing Dog! She is microchipped and current on vaccinations, but not old enough to be spayed. She will be available for a $300 adoption fee on a Spay contract that requires her adopter to have her spayed when she is old enough. Joanie says, “Whatcha waiting on? Take me home with you, I’m adorable!”

Story
Look at that face! This is Chachi, and he is a 5 month old Lab/Aussie/Border Collie mix according to his DNA test. Chachi is curious, intelligent, and brave. He’s very focused and is already starting to learn obedience commands. He loves to play with toys and other dogs, and would probably love some older children to play with. Although Chachi is sweet and loving, he will hold his ground with dogs who play too rough—he’s no pushover! But he’s more of a lover, and will come to you and Sit to be petted. Although Chachi gets along with other dogs very well, we don’t know how he would do in a home with cats, so you would need to be willing to train him to live with kitties in the home. Chachi currently weighs 27 pounds, so he will be a rather big boy, all the more reason to continue his training so he can be the best boy possible! Chachi is in excellent health. He has a good appetite, good energy, and his coat will continue to improve now that he’s getting a healthy diet. He has received his first round of vaccinations, but will need more done by his adopter. He has been dewormed, microchipped, and started on flea and heartworm preventatives. Chachi is available for a $300 adoption fee on a Neuter Contract that requires that his adopter has him neutered when old enough. Adoption application is required.

Jake is a charming young man! All who meet him discover this right away. His energy level is medium to high - typical for a young male lab mix. He knows basic commands well. No experience yet with cats. He loves dogs, kids, swimming, rides in the car in a crate, walks on a leash. He tested slight heartworm positive in June and will have a Proheart 6 shot as treatment.

Story
Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Posted on 10/13/23, and the pictures were taken on 10/13/23.  Amris and her family of 3 other dogs were first spotted on our trail camera in June 2023 starving and looking for food.  Amris was the second to get trapped in our live trap.  I had to carry her from the live trap all the way to a kennel for the rest of the night, but now she walks good on a leash.  She does have a hunting instinct to go after night time wildlife, and has wanted to go after a feral cat we have.  She did climb over our 4 foot fence about 3 times, but is now staying inside the fence.  She's not very active, lays around a lot, and rolls over frequently to receive belly rubs as I walk by.  We don't know if she is house trained, but she is crate trained.  She does not have a micro-chip, and no owner was found.  She is heartworm positive, on prevention, and is scheduled for heartworm treatment on 10/26/23 and 10/27/23.  She was estimated to be 6 years old on 8/8/23 weighing 63.6 pounds, and she was spayed on 9/24/23 weighing 68 pounds. $70 adoption fee.December 8, 2023, 1:09 am

Story
Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Posted on 7/1/23, and the pictures were taken on 7/1/23.  Bibi, a Labrador Retriever Mix, was out of time at the Smith County Animal Shelter, so we tagged her.  She is a very sweet and happy dog, that loves attention from everyone, pulls on a leash, so a harness would be good for her, crate trained, good with other dogs, cats are unknown, house training is unknown, heartworm negative, and she does not dig or climb.  She does tend to jump on me at times, so she may have too much energy for smaller children. She was estimated to have been born around February 2021, and weighed 45 pounds on 4/24/23. $25 adoption fee, since donations were made for her vet care.December 8, 2023, 1:09 am
