Bailey is an absolute sweetheart! She was found as a stray out in the country which means somebody probably left her on the side of the road. She was positive for heartworm but has finished her treatment!! She loves being around people and she loves to play especially tug of rope. She is a talker and very treat motivated. She knows sit and working with her on paw and lay down. Now because of her age she still has the puppy tendencies but she loves going on walks but someone who is patient with her will be able to teach her that chasing cars is not okay. She follows my kids around the yard and plays with them and she loves the snuggles. She is incredibly smart and would make a great family dog. From current owner: Due to unexpected changes in my living situation, I sadly need to find Cheese a new, loving home. Cheese loves being outdoors — running around, playing, and soaking up the sun. When he’s inside, he’s calm, relaxed, and makes a great house dog. He’s very alert and will let you know if someone is outside, but he’s not overly vocal. He enjoys going on walks and listens well when given commands — he’s easily redirectable and eager to please. Personality and Compatibility: 🐶 Dog-friendly: Yes, he gets along well with other dogs. 🐱 Cat-friendly: No, he does not do well with cats. 👶 Kid-friendly: He is generally good with kids, but should be supervised around young children who may not understand boundaries. He doesn’t like having his paws, ears, or face tugged or poked. He has never bitten anyone, but he has growled when a toddler pulled his tail and ears, so a home with older, respectful kids would be best. Cheese would thrive in a home that can give him love, space to play, and understanding of his boundaries. He’s a loyal companion who will bring warmth and joy to his new family. Rosemary came to us from a connection and a newtork of dog loving animal welfare supporters in the DFW area. She has been living on the street on her own for five years, and in that time she had 3 litters of puppies that were all taken into homes or into rescue care. It was finally Rosemary's turn with the dedicated help of some amazing people and a professional trapper.  She was heartworm positive and has undergone treatment. SHe has come such a long way form being a frightened little lump in a private room to the happy girl she is today.  While Rosemary has made extravagant strides in the direction of being accustomed to living indoors, she is still frightened by quick movements or loud sounds. She will need a very specific home willing to continue working with her - perhaps for the rest of her life - on learning how ot be a dog and a dog living in a home. She's approximately 3-4 years old, pretty energetic, and still working on trusting humans, so we are looking for someone who is willing to be patient and give her some time. I prefer being an only fur baby and young humans make me a little nervous - mostly because I'm not sure if they will have good dog manners. Hi All, Meet Miss Brown Betty. She is a gem and will add an abundant amount of love and playfulness to your home. She will do great with a family. She loves people and gets along superbly with other dogs of all sizes. At just 2 and 1/2 years old (or thereabout) Betty is a dog with lots of love and attention to give. She is spayed, all shots are current, she is heartworm negative and microchipped! Betty is a PERFECT family dog and she will get along with any other dog you may have. She does love attention and being petted and talked to. Because of her exuberance I would not necessarily place her in a home with small children.
