Lightening is an active pup who loves to run and play and romp around with his other canine friends and people too! He has a beautiful brindle-like coat and majestic white chest! He is about 18 months old and still very puppy-like, curious about new things and learning new commands. Lightening would love an active home where he can get plenty of exercise and fresh air, get out the "zoomies' and then settle in to warm snuggles on the couch at the end of the day! He will make a great addition to a welcoming family! villageforpawsrescue.com villageforpawsrescue@gmail.com for more information or to fill out an application.

Story
Samuel is just adorable and a complete love bug ! This boy was a stray picked up off the streets of Texas, rescued and is soon on his way to New England in search of a new beginning! He is a playful bundle of joy that would make a wonderful forever friend. He absolutely loves people and is a world class snuggler. He's a smart boy who already knows "sit" and "down" and is learning other commands. He is house trained and will sit by the back door to let you know he needs to go out. At 9 months old he is still a pup with that wonderful puppy energy and zest! He presently weighs in at around 52 lbs. so he is likely to be a bit more than that when full grown. He loves to play, and the flirt pole is his favorite toy but he also loves squeaky balls and rope bones and just running around with his human and/or canine friends. He will be available for adoption in New England at the end of February. If interested in adopting of fostering to adopt him please contact Village for Paws Rescue at villageforpawsrescue@gmail.com for more information or to fill out an application to adopt or foster to adopt.

Story
Greta is in VT and ready to find her forever home! She is two years old, house-trained, crate-trained, and ready to steal your heart. Greta loves to hang out with her human and is very affectionate. Car rides and running around the fenced yard are some of her favorite activities. She is a champion ball player and would be a great agility dog, farmhand or hiking sidekick. Greta is a young dog - guessed to be around 2, but her foster mom feels she may be a bit younger than that. This pup has great eye contact and aims to please. She does tend to have a short attention span and get distracted with that young brain of hers. Once she knows what you want, however, she responds well to her training. Greta is friendly with all people and likes to be a companion to other dogs. She is interested in cats, squirrels, rabbits, and chickens, but is very responsive to training. Recently her foster mom cleaned the chicken coop with the door wide open and Greta did a great job with the "wait' command. She will need continued work on her impulse control before she is fully trusted. We do not provide DNA testing which is the only way to know with certainty which breeds are in her genetic background. We highly recommend training classes for all of our dogs to get everyone off to a great start. Training recommendations are available. Our adoption fee is $400 which includes age-appropriate vaccines (such as Distemper, Bordetella, Parvo, and Rabies), neutering, worming, microchipping, and health exam. Discount vouchers for training, grooming, and similar dog-related products and services are provided     February 10, 2025, 8:53 am
