Story
Hi! My name is Duke, and I'm an 80-pound lab mix with boundless energy and a heart full of love. I was surrendered to the shelter when my previous family could no longer care for me. Adjusting to the shelter has been a bit hard for me because I'm lonely and I just want to be around people. The nice folks at the shelter play fetch with me and take me for long walks, but it's not the same as being in a home. I'm about 5 years old and I know my manners pretty well. I'm also potty trained so you won't have to deal with puppy shenanigans with an older guy like me. For the most part I'm just content being with my person and I don't seem to mind other dogs either. I will make a great addition to any family who is willing to take the time and patience for me to adjust to a new routine in a new home. Apply to visit me!NOTE: every dog, cat and child will react differently to a new pet, so proper and safe introductions are always important for a smooth and successful transition.Adoption fee is $225.We do not have open hours for public viewing of our adoptable animals. We are by appointment only.If interested in adopting, please complete our adoption application. Once your application is approved, an appointment will be scheduled to visit with your desired pet.ONLINE APPLICATION can be found at: www.marshfieldpetshelter.org/adoption-applicationAll animals are vet examined, spayed/neutered, blood tested and microchipped. If old enough, they receive routine vaccinations.Thank you!

Story
Duke is a sweet and energetic boy with lots of love. Although I've only known him briefly, it's clear that he is both an intelligent and loyal pup who wants nothing more than someone who can give him that love in loyalty in return. Duke's been owner has had him since he was a young puppy, caring for him for the past four years until an unexpected turn of events led him unable to care for Duke for the next 8 months. It seems rehoming is what's best for Duke as I may only have a possibility of keeping Duke in my home when I move soon and even then wouldn't feel right about the amount of attention I could afford him due to my other obligations.

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Gable - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Named after a real life 'ladies man' Clark Gable, this here ladies man is ready to let all that be 'Gone With The Wind' and to settle down in a loving home. I want to say goodbye to 'Love On The Run' and just enjoy my belly rubs, ear scratches and some of those nice tasty treats. This family life is going to be all that, like being given the 'Key To The City'!! Here at my new foster home, I’m happily browsing around for any kind of yummy smells but when my foster mom says the word “ride” I jump in the truck lickety split. Going for a ride is one of my favorite things, making me a pawsome co-pilot. I come in at about 45 pounds and at around 5 years young, I still love having a blast going on adventures! My salt and pepper muzzle gives me a very distinguished look that the ladies tend to love (what can I say, this Gable has still got it!!), along with my 'turn you to mush' expressive eyes, I am just too handsome, what's not to love! I really really enjoy my cuddle time and will sit patiently waiting for my time to get me some lovins! I love to curl up right next to you and get as close as possible. And oh, did I mention how I will do anything for belly rubs?!!!! This ole boy hasn't let life get me down. 'It Happened One Night', I found myself in the local doggie jail, thinking I was gonna be doing 10 to life, but the judge was lenient and I'm out on parole for good behavior (and I really am a good boy!). I'm a very laid back and mellow fella, going with the flow, not wanting to make any extra work, which makes for me to be a great family addition even for a first time pet parent. Does I sound like a good fit for your family, I sure do hope so?! Please fill out my adoption application and let’s get me a 'Homecoming'...to your home!!!

My name is Cub and I am an 8 month old Labrador Retriever/Boxer mix!! What a winning combination:) I gets my smarts and love of people from the world's most popular dog (the Lab) and my cute slightly squished visage from the beautiful Boxer!! Foster Mum says I am the easiest and most loving pup she has ever fostered!! I walk on and off leash and go directly to my play yard after our walks to the river are finished...I don't run around and make Foster Mum chase after me like some of the pups. She tells me "Cub, go to your yard" and I go directly without hesitation. I am leash trained, crate trained and house trained. I know basic human speak and try really hard to please my Foster family. Did I mention that I LOVE going to the river on our daily walks? I love the cool flow of the river and will sink into it up to my ears :) My second favorite activity is to carry toys around in my mouth to show them to everyone I meet!! I don't tear up my toys, I just carry them carefully and walk up to everyone to show them my prize (we didn't have toys in the joint, so I am grateful for these blessings!) I am mostly fully growed at 42 pounds, so I am the perfect sized medium dog to snuggle with on the couch and join you on action adventure hikes and overnights. My life didn't start off great, but I am a "glass is half full" kinda dog!! I was found as a stray at the tender age of 8 weeks, and stayed at the shelter for 4 months...until a volunteer for Hay Dude sprung me out and brought me to the ranch. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the ranch!! I have always had a happy go lucky, joy filled personality (even during my unjust incarceration!). Living with my Foster family on the ranch is fabulous, but my dream is to have that special person (or persons) with whom to share my life. If you have been searching for the ideal dog who is grateful, funny, and fun loving, your search is over!! Please fill out my online application and adopt me today!

Woof, I'm Doody! Let me introduce myself as the puppy with no fear! I love everyone and everything and I am not scared to dive right into new things and be independent! I am a bit smaller than my brother but my confidence makes me feel larger than life. I am a Chatty Chad when it comes to wanting my foster siblings or my brother to play with me. I have mastered play growling and barking to get their attention letting them know I am ready to wrestle! I am really getting the hang of playing fetch and I will likely need a family who will always throw the tennis ball for me at this rate! It may actually be my favorite toy besides the stuffed squirrel. I am usually the first one to crash and take a nap before Howdy or put myself to bed first. I enjoy nice big dog beds and laying in the sun! Like my brother, I hope my new family continues to expose me to all new things.

Story
Howdy here, between the two of us, when we are together, I am the dominant one over my brother. However, when there is something new presented to us, I am the more skeptical one and will hesitate to make any fast decisions before getting comfortable.I absolute love stuffed toys (stuffed squirrels are #1), antlers, tennis balls and outside time. I try to help my foster mom pick up sticks whenever we go out to go potty, but she does redirect me from those with toys. I also have discovered digging, which I am told is a "no-no" and I am given alternative options (such as positive reward or toys). That's probably why I am loyal to her and always want to know where she is at; positive reward is such an awesome thing! I am respectful of the fur residents here and know my boundaries with them but I really love to wrestle with the big dog here. I am great at snuggling and jumping on laps when I'm ready to relax but keep in mind, I am a puppy so when I wake up, I am ready to rock! I also am good at letting my foster mom know when I have to go potty or I use the potty pad if she isn't able to come get me in time. In my new home, I hope that my new family will keep me exposed to other animals and new things, whether in the house or friends' houses!

Hello? Anyone there? I’m Tubs and I am finally ready to find my forever home! You could say that my name may be a bit fitting right now because I'm sort of a bit, well....tubby. So I'd love to get more exercise into my daily routine! You know what that means? You'd get a walking partner! I love my walks and I would love for you to help me on this journey.I do great with other dogs but am unsure of new people until I get to know them. I currently live with 3 cats and get along fine with them. I may chase but would never hurt them. I am not a fan of my crate and do well when left out and home alone. I would prefer a quieter family that works from home or is home a lot. You will need to have some patience with me while I warm up to you, but once I do, I will be your shadow for life!Apply here: https://www.fetchfosterandrescue.com/adoptName: TubsD.O.B: 5/18/23Breed: Lab mixGender: MaleWeight: 40 lbsAltered: YesAdoption: 400Good with Cats: I sometimes chase them, but it’s just because I want to play, I’m not trying to hurt them.Good with Dogs: Yes, I enjoy other dogs!Good with Kids: I am just a young pup so with continued training and guidance, I can do anything!Special Requirements: None.*Positive reinforcement obedience training is a great way to bond with your new family member. Woof! My name is Otis and I hope you're ready to have some fun because I'm a good time guy. This hunk of burnin' chocolate love is ready to get out of this kennel and into your life. I love FOOD, FETCH and FUN! I'd be best in a home with older children due to my size and energy level. Dogs are fine and cats are, too! I need some work on my leash walking skills but if I walked well on a leash I'd almost be too good to be true! See you soon?
