Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Harley is a larger dog, and fluctuates between high-energy and couch potato. He adores running around and playing, but is equally content to be a snuggle-boy on a couch or bed with his person. He is intelligent and eager-to-please, learning new tricks quickly and well. He is also very food oriented, which again, leads to easy training. Reactive: Harley is reactive, particularly when nervous. He growls semi-regularly, and barks at other dogs or people. If particularly on-edge, he will snap, though hasn’t broken skin. Proper precautions do need to be taken, and he is willing to wear a muzzle when tense interactions are expected. He has gone through a class for reactive dogs, and is better than he was originally, but patience and an experienced dog-owner is a must. Harley needs a home without children or other animals. He might get along ok with smaller animals – his foster family has chickens that he sees regularly – but hasn’t lived with any to our knowledge. A dog door would be his preference – he adores getting to go in-out-in-out! He is fairly gentle on his toys when not stressed, though if stressed he does have a tendency to shred stuffed toys and ropes. Bones and ropes are his favorites, though he does also like the occasional squeaky. Harley is the most genuinely pleased dog you will ever meet. He adores love and attention, and shows that appreciation with enthusiasm. You will never doubt you are loved with this dog.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  At Laramie Animal Welfare Society, the first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website www.laramieanimals.org. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! I’m Opie, your new best friend, ready for adventure. I am a flat coated retriever/border collie mix. I’m an incredibly smart, athletic boy who loves walks, fetch, cuddles, a good tennis ball de-fuzzing, and my people! I’m a graduate of Rockin’ E Obedience Class along with lots of other training, and have lots of tricks to show you, such as sitting at every street intersection and making treats disappear. I’m more than a pretty face, I’m great around other respectful dogs, cats and kids, though I do best with slow controlled introductions so that I don’t get too overwhelmed. I am still a young man, so someone willing to work to help guide me to be my best would be ideal! I’m doing very well working on my walking manners: I walk loose-leash, don’t bark, and respond well to commands. I really just want to please my people, and I am an incredible listener. When you talk to me, you will find me watching you and tipping my head side to side making sure I’m getting every last word you say to me. I’m looking for a patient, kind family with lots of tennis balls and maybe another dog friend to play with, though I could be a single dog too! Are you ready for our adventure together?!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  At Laramie Animal Welfare Society, the first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website www.laramieanimals.org. Story
Meet Nova, a sweet gal who is ready to find the perfect retirement home with a family who loves her! Nova has successfully lived with children and cats in her past so we believe with slow introductions and some patience she could do it again! We are unsure how Nova would feel about living with another dog so we do recommend bringing in any potential doggy siblings for a meet before taking her home. Nova is full of energy and loves all the attention, please stop in and meet her today!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Sandy came all the way from an overcrowded TX shelter where she spent much of her young life. She was overlooked, and we'd love to find her the home she deserves. She can be nervous and unsure of her environment when it's new. She is most comfortable outside in the backyard. The outside world (especially on walks) is scary still. She is trying her best though to be brave girl. She meets people better if they are sitting down. She is working to be more comfortable inside homes and out in the world on walks. She seems to be house broken. She is a little guardy with other dogs when she is eating, so it's best to feed any dogs separate from her. It's easily managed! Apply to meet this sweet girl and help her learn that the world isn't a terrifying place.

Story
Kit is a snuggle bug, she wants to worm her way into your lap and chill there while you binge watch some TV. She's a people dog, in that she wants to be with people all the time. If you have to leave her, she prefers to have some sort of sounds on, like the TV, to help her feel less alone. She has lived with other dogs and currently lives with children and a cat. She's learning new manners, and was happy to show off her sit in her photos. We know that this girl will be happy in your home. Kit was diagnosed with Pannus a couple years back. Pannus is an eye disease that's common in German Shepherds. She will need to be on steroid eye drops the rest of her life. She handles them really well though! Doggie UV protection eyewear may also help her when she is out and about and in the sun. Apply to meet her today!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. June Carter is looking for a FOSTER or FOREVER home June Carter is now ready to find her forever home!!! June is crate trained, and knows some basic commands.  She wants to please and is very receptive to positive training! June and her brother Johnny Cash were born on October 10, 2022. They came into the LAWS program after they were found on the Wind River Reservation when they were only 5 weeks old. Shortly after arrival June and Johnny became very sick and tested positive for Parvo virus. After supportive care and meds both fought off the illness and began to grow and thrive. June is a loveable sweet girl who is working on  manners and is looking for her forever home. She is very bonded with her foster mom and is slow to warm up to strangers. She would prefer a home without children and prefers women. She loves to play and run with her foster siblings. She is an active big girl and loves playing outside especially in the snow. She can be a little bossy with her food and toys.  She would love to go on adventures, have another dog to play with. She requires a fenced yard and is not a good candidate for an apartment.  She is eager to please and is wanting a human companion who loves having adventures!!!!
