Story
Papi is a 4-year-old purebred  Miniature Pinche r and is 6.5 pounds of sweetness. When Papi was 1 day old his mother bit part of his nose off. The breeder in Missouri could not sell him so his life became one of being shoved from kennel to kennel to breed. He was sold on two secondary auctions and was in a breeding compound in Oklahoma when he was bought and shipped to San Antonio. He was an intact male in a household of intact female Min Pins. He was quite loud and after a year they asked if we would take him into rescue. With time and all vetting completed to include a dental he has calmed down. He loves his little bed on the couch and often found sleeping with a small Chihuahua named Davey. He is noisy during mealtimes but eats politely in his kennel. He also sleeps well in his kennel. Papi is still shy coming out of his kennel as he has had years of fear to overcome.  He moves to the back of the kennel and turns his back. He is learning not to run and cower when we need to pick him up. He never goes far and has never been aggressive. He is housebroken. His adoption fee is $350. If interested, please submit application from website www.poquitapawsrescue.org.   ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Poquita Paws does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes spay/neutered, rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventrative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport to most states across the country. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Story
Hey, hey! Stop scrolling! Now, we don’t mean to bug you, but we think these puppies are sure to make your heart flutter! Brought to SNIPSA through Animal Care Services’ community outreach program, these eight little buggers are set to make a smooth transition to rescue life. Meet Flik, Slim, Hopper, Francis, Rosie, Gypsy, Flora and Atta. Though we have no way of knowing the certainty of their breed, their stubby legs and wire hair point to the chance of Wire-haired Dachshund Mixes. At their young age, they are sure to adjust well in their future homes so long as they receive the proper time, training and patience that all puppies require. So, if one of these little love-bugs look like your next family member, there’s no time to waste! Hop on that application today!
