Story
The Tale of Freddy: A Heartwarming Holiday Story Once upon a chilly winter’s day, there was a wise and gentle soul named Freddy. At 8 years old, this little Dachshund mix had mastered the art of slow living, embracing life at a pace that could melt even the coldest of hearts. With his soft, warm fur and eyes full of quiet wisdom, Freddy was the ultimate lap dog, always ready to curl up beside someone who needed a little extra love. He believed that life’s most precious moments were the ones spent nestled up on a cozy couch. Though Freddy’s story hasn’t always been easy. Before arriving at SNIPSA, Freddy had endured hardships that no dog should. It was apparent that Freddy had suffered a dog attack. But despite his past pain, Freddy has not lost his ability to trust. Freddy is a testament to the magic of love and healing. As the holidays approach, Freddy is not asking for much. There are no grand trips or expensive plushies on his list, just a soft place to lie and a family that will care for him for the rest of his days. He longs for a family that appreciates the little things in life: cozy nights by the fire, the gentle rhythm of slow days, and the beat of a holiday song. This holiday season, he’s the perfect reminder that love doesn’t have to be extravagant to be beautiful. Apply for Freddy, and may life’s tender moments find you.

Email:  ddrtxinfo@gmail.com                 Primary Website:  www.DDRTX.org Meet Bella Hope! This 12-year-old chiweenie is a pint-sized bundle of joy with the biggest ears and eyes that melt your heart! We think when she gives us the “stare” she’s just trying to hypnotize us to give her extra treats! She has the softest, quirkiest quack of a bark! She loves to burrow under ALL the blankets and occasionally serenades us with the cutest little snores during her beauty sleep. Bella does wear a diaper held up by suspenders because, let’s face it, her little bohiney is just too petite! After several vet visits and extensive bloodwork for diabetes, Cushing’s, and even kidney and bladder issues, there is nothing medically wrong with her. We suspect her potty-training issues are more neurological due to the fact her first 5+ years of her life she lived in an apartment and never went out to potty. But fear not, the diapers are easy to change, come in a lot of fun colors, and don’t bother her one bit! She zips around like a champ! Please consider giving this precious little girl a home. She is very loving, cuddly, easy-going, and overall simply a joy to be around! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Email:  ddrtxinfo@gmail.com                 Primary Website:  www.DDRTX.org Hi my name is Jackson Bailey and I am looking for my forever home.  I am only 2 years old and only weigh 11 pounds.  I used to be shy and I am still a little, but my foster mom has taught me that living life to the fullest is a whole lot more fun. My foster family has taught me how to make friends with my foster siblings.  I learned how to play with and how to be a pet. Foster mom has taught me that sleeping all night in my own little bed in my own little kennel is very calming. That’s my private space and is especially nice. I don’t cry or whine, I go right to sleep. I even eat in my kennel and have learned to wait politely and I take snacks gently. I really need a home of my very own and maybe it would be really nice if I had a friend to play with. I really enjoy the special attention the humans f=give me and all they have taught me.   Can you be my forever family?  I do know how to give hand kisses and foster mom says I’m the most gentle, quiet, polite little man she’s ever had.   Jackson is approximately two years old and full of life. He weighs about 11 pounds. He loves being outside and he loves all of his brothers and sisters.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Fanta has fun chasing around the yard with all the other dogs!  Fanta loves to lay on your lap or beside you for naps!! She will roll over on her back so her belly can be rubbed. Story
Reggie is perhaps one if the most adaptable young puppies we have rescued . He is now about 10 wk old and weighs about 4 # . Although he showed up on the street claiming a Shih Tzu to be his Mom, Reggie appears to be a little Chiweenie. When she left he then attached to a 3 yr old small Chihauhau mix named Shorty . This puppy has learned quickly to use the doggie door and presently has gone through the night without having an accident He just cuddles up with Shorty . Reggie has excellent recall to a whistle or “puppy puppy”. He drags all his toys out the dog door to play in the sun with them or play keep away either them. As a very young puppy and smart he will benefit from structured training and become the best ever living companion. Our best guess is as an adult he will be under 20# Reggie has age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and wormed . When more grown up Poquita paws will neuter him and remove any baby teeth that failed to fall out His adoption fee is $250.
