Story
Sugar, spice, and everything nice... those were the ingredients used to create the perfect puppy, and Buttercup is the sweetest ingredient of them all. While her sisters have already flown off to their forever homes, this gentle hero is waiting for a special headquarters where she can truly shine. Buttercup might be a superhero, but her superpowers are a little more "undercover." Instead of rushing into the fray, she prefers the power of observation and affection. She is our soulful sweetheart who finds her courage through quiet cuddles and gentle tail wags. Her favorite mission is actually finding a lap to curl up in. Being the last of her litter has given Buttercup a chance to step out of the shadows and show off her true self: a sensitive, loyal companion who loves deeply. If you have a soft heart and room for a tiny superhero who specializes in kisses, Buttercup is ready to fly home with you.

Story
Carmela is a beautiful dachshund mix. She has a chocolate coat. She is great with kids and people, but she does not play too well with other dogs. Specifically, she is very territorial when it comes to food and will sometimes become aggressive with other dogs. However, she is s sweetheart with us and our kids.

Email:  ddrtxinfo@gmail.com                 Primary Website:  www.DDRTX.org Hi my name is Jackson Bailey and I am looking for my forever home.  I am only 2 years old and only weigh 11 pounds.  I used to be shy and I am still a little, but my foster mom has taught me that living life to the fullest is a whole lot more fun. My foster family has taught me how to make friends with my foster siblings.  I learned how to play with and how to be a pet. Foster mom has taught me that sleeping all night in my own little bed in my own little kennel is very calming. That’s my private space and is especially nice. I don’t cry or whine, I go right to sleep. I even eat in my kennel and have learned to wait politely and I take snacks gently. I really need a home of my very own and maybe it would be really nice if I had a friend to play with. I really enjoy the special attention the humans f=give me and all they have taught me.   Can you be my forever family?  I do know how to give hand kisses and foster mom says I’m the most gentle, quiet, polite little man she’s ever had.   Jackson is approximately two years old and full of life. He weighs about 11 pounds. He loves being outside and he loves all of his brothers and sisters.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Email:  ddrtxinfo@gmail.com                 Primary Website:  www.DDRTX.org Strudel is an estimated 3 year old red female dachshund. She was found under a park bench during a recent cold snap.  Strudel is super sweet and good with humans. She does need a minute to warm up to new people but does warm up quickly.  Loves to cuddle and be loved on.  She is mostly potty trained as well if she gets to go out every couple of hours.  She does tinkle sometimes when she gets over excited to see you.  She is a good eater.  She has been been doing better with the foster dogs in her home. It was hard at first.  She was found with another dog but her foster Mom feels she would do best as an only dog or will need someone with time and patience with her an a dog in the same home.  She has really improved but still nee If you are thinking of adopting a pair, she was rescued with Beamer!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
