Story
Meet Max, your future best friend! Max is a 25-lb, 8–9-month-old bundle of sweetness, personality, and goofy puppy charm who is looking for a family to grow up with. He’s the kind of dog who makes you smile just by being around. Max is affectionate, playful, incredibly friendly, and loves his people. He also absolutely loves other dogs and does wonderfully with pups of all sizes. He’s a social little guy who learns so much by watching his furry friends. And for a puppy, Max is doing so well! He’s almost fully potty trained, sleeps peacefully through the night, and is comfortable staying home alone in his cozy space. He’s working on crate training and happily goes in when asked. He’s also learning that being a big kid means practicing a little self-control before earning full house privileges. Max is already discovering how much fun the world can be. He’s getting comfortable on leash and has enjoyed trails, dog parks, and adventures with his people. He’s also wonderful with children and everyone he meets. Most importantly, Max is just a genuinely sweet, easygoing, lovable puppy who wants to be part of a family. He doesn’t need to be perfect, he just needs someone willing to give him a little patience, guidance, and lots of love as he grows into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, dog-friendly companion who will grow alongside you, Max might be your guy. Could you be the family Max has been waiting for? https://www.centraltexasruffugees.org/copy-of-foster

Story
Meet Olympia, a pint-sized princess with a heart of gold! This sweet, soulful young lady's main objective in life is to give her loved ones lots of love, kisses, and cuddles. While we don't know her exact breed, she looks to be a mix of miniature pinscher and Italian greyhound, while her personality characteristics strongly favor the Italian greyhound -- loyal, affectionate, intelligent, calm, and gentle. Olympia may be shy and submissive when first meeting new people, though she learns to trust quickly and becomes a loyal companion and cuddlebug to both human and four-legged friends. One of her favorite pastimes is simply lounging -- you'll likely find her on a couch, burrowed in a blanket, or laying in the grass or on the patio soaking up the sun. She doesn't require a lot of exercise or playtime, but she has grown to love a good walk around the neighborhood! Overall Olympia is a quiet gal, though her foster mom reports she'll give "girly grumbles" when she wants attention or is ready for her dinner. She's food motivated and eager to please. All Olympia needs love and attention, so she would be great in any apartment or home setting. Interested in making her a part of your family? Olympia is being fostered in the Austin area and ready for meet and greets! If you want to meet Olympia please fill out our application. https://www.centraltexasruffugees.org/copy-of-fosteraround the neighborhood. 💕
