Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Badly Abused'Yay!  Rosco is ready for his furever home! If you are looking for a loving, smart, playful four-legged companion that loves daily walks and eventually someone to go jogging with. Rosco is looking for his forever family.  He needs a family that will love him with calm leadership and continue his training by giving him guidance with rules, boundaries, and limitations. He is not perfect; he has had a very rough start to life. However, the amazing thing about dogs is that they move forward if we lead them in that direction.  Rosco is a dog you cannot pity despite the cruelties he has survived. He still trusts but requires leadership and structure, as he will test limits because he is a brilliant little dog. He is an active dog, but can not do strenuous exercise until he completes his heartworm treatment and his deep injuries are totally healed. Rosco's vet (Safari in League City) thinks he is two (ish) years old. He is crate trained but needs more work on house training. He does have a high prey drive, so a house with other small pets(cats/chickens/birds/rabbits/etc...) would not be a good idea. Rosco's Story:This little guy walked into a shop. Someone had taped his mouth shut. He was out back eating rocks. So, Harvey, his savior, at the shop he walked into, went down to Paleo Pet Supply, and got him some soft dawg food. He gobbled it down. Their FedEx driver stopped by today and saw the little guy, told us he had seen him running down El Dorado yesterday with his mouth taped shut and a guy chasing him. Wonder if that was the evil one. When he showed up here at the shop, we had no problem calling him to us. So he wasn't trying to help him, I don't think. He (now named Rosco) is available for adoption, and Paws Animal Rescue will be responsible for his Vet Bills, which are going to be extensive. He has a severe muzzle injury, a slight separation of his left front shoulder, soft tissue injuries, and Heartworms. We encourage you to fill out an adoption application if you want to adopt or sponsor him, helping cover some of his medical bills.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 18, 2025, 3:49 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.vetting completeMeet Bradley  Bradley was born on Tax Day, 2015, and this handsome black-and-tan shorthaired boy weighs in at a stout 15 pounds. He is the definition of a loyal companion and truly thrives when he has a special person to call his own. Once Bradley chooses you, you’re his and he takes that role very seriously. Bradley’s favorite place to be is wrapped up in a blanket on the couch, cuddled close to someone he trusts. He loves being pet and will happily settle in for long cuddle sessions. A true burrower and ultimate lap dog, Bradley even drags his favorite blanket from room to room so he always has the perfect spot to relax. He may also sit guard in doorways when someone steps away briefly, keeping a watchful eye on his people. While Bradley is generally a relaxed boy, he still enjoys short walks and getting outside from time to time. Bad weather, however, is not his thing as he prefers to go out, take care of business quickly, and then hurry back inside for comfort. He does great with frequent, scheduled potty breaks and appreciates a predictable routine. Bradley loves mealtime and snackies and thrives in a calm environment. He can be fearful of fast movements and rough or aggressive play, particularly from children, so he would do best in a quiet, adult-only home where his boundaries are respected. If you’re looking for a devoted, affectionate, low-key companion who wants nothing more than to share blankets, couches, and quiet moments, Bradley is ready to be your ultimate sidekick. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 28, 2026, 8:23 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.vetting completeMeet Cass! Hi! My name is Cass, and I’m a happy, playful guy with a big personality and even bigger charm. I’m still settling into my foster home, but I’ve already shown what a great companion I am. Personality & Temperament I get along well with the other dogs in my foster home and love being part of the action. My foster mom says I’m a little vocal, but I just like to share my thoughts! When it’s time to relax, you’ll find me cuddled up with my foster dad, especially if football is on. Fun & Activities I absolutely love going for walks and checking out (and sniffing!) everything happening in the neighborhood. Toys are one of my favorite things, and playtime makes me a very happy boy. Training & Details I’m fully housetrained and have great indoor manners. I’m currently about 23 lbs and working toward my ideal weight of around 18 lbs, so daily walks and playtime will help keep me healthy and happy. I’m a handsome red short-haired boy who’s ready to show off his good looks. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate companion who loves walks, toys, and cozy cuddle time, Cass could be the perfect addition to your family!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 10, 2026, 12:02 pm
