Story
BEETHOVEN — AS TOLD BY GUMBO “He’s large, he’s loud, and he’s one strong breeze away from filing a noise complaint on himself.” — Gumbo Behold, humans. This is Beethoven, the walking symphony of fur, enthusiasm, and questionable decision-making. This man is part something giant, part something majestic, and part “how is there this much hair on one creature?” Let’s discuss his… vibe: Movement Style: Majestic elk that forgot how legs work halfway through the journey. Size: Technically classified as a dog. Emotionally classified as a small horse. Personality: Friendly? Absolutely. Goofy? Without question. Capable of knocking you over with one joyful greeting? Also yes. Knows he’s handsome? Oh, painfully. Now, a word from Legal (that’s me): Beethoven shows too much interest in cats for us to pretend he’s “cat friendly.” He looks at cats the same way people look at fresh brownies — with curiosity and a sprinkle of bad intentions. So we’re calling him: Cat-free home only (Unless your cat is 200 pounds and came here to collect debts.) Who is Beethoven perfect for? Someone who wants: A big, loyal, affectionate shadow A dog who hugs with his whole body A hiking buddy who doubles as wilderness protection A furry best friend with movie-star looks and sitcom energy A canine warm blanket in the winter A personal bodyguard who also eats sticks Not ideal for: Cats Tiny children he might accidentally bulldoze People who enjoy clean clothing Beethoven is ready to be someone’s best friend, oversized pillow, and woodland adventure partner. Adopt Beethoven today. Upgrade your life to Premium Giant Fluff Edition™. Adoption Fee: 250 Apply here: https://forms.gle/emAhij7FiTcZuvHA6 Currently in AL, but can be transported to New England states for $200.00. Story
This handsome boy was picked up running at large and based on Facebook posts it was about his third or fourth offense, but no one claimed him. We are guessing that he was a failure at being a livestock guardian because he’s way too social. He’s always wanting to visit someone new. Charlie is a little over a year old and weighs 110 lbs. He was very thin when he first came to us but is now at his perfect weight. He is neutered, up-to-date on required vaccines, microchipped and heartworm tested negative. He’s house trained and he loves other dogs, but he is a big guy. He also will require a tall fence and you will have to keep an eye on him because again he likes to visit new people. He’s affectionate and likes to lean on you. He is learning commands like sit and stay and he really tries to please! This is what his foster mom says about him " Charlie is amazing. He is housebroken, loves to be hugged, hasn’t chewed anything up, likes to play but is content just to chill. He walks beautifully on a leash and likes to say hi to everyone he meets. Charlie enjoys sitting and looking out the window, hanging around in the kitchen especially when I’m cooking and going for car rides. Although this breed is known for having a stubborn streak, Charlie seems to understand a few commands wait, it’s ok, no, come, let’s go and he will even sit for a treat. But his favorite is Good Boy Charlie❤️" This guy would be a great dog for an active loving family. He’s so sweet! If you would like to be Charlie’s forever family please email dogs4mylife@ gmail.com or olmc7@ hotmail.com. If you are inquiring from a Gmail address. It is best to use our Gmail address or you might have to look for us in your spam.

Story
Harley’s story is one of loyalty, resilience, and quiet hope. An 18-month-old, 125-pound Great Pyrenees, he was lovingly raised in a home full of children, laughter, and structure. When his family faced a sudden divorce and had to move into a much smaller space without a yard, Harley lost the home he knew — not because he wasn’t loved, but because life changed faster than anyone expected. Despite the upheaval, Harley remains wonderfully grounded and joyful. He is a dog who finds happiness in simple things: being outside, watching over his home, playing fetch with his people, and romping happily with other dogs. He is friendly, calm, and deeply affectionate in a soft, unassuming way. Praise and gentle affection mean everything to him, and he takes great pride in being near his people, even tagging along for household chores like a fluffy, devoted assistant. Harley embodies everything people love about the Great Pyrenees — a massive heart wrapped in a calm, loving soul. He’s looking for a forever home where he can stretch out, settle in, and know that this time, it’s truly permanent. If you think you might be that home, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.January 25, 2026, 10:05 pm

Story
&#226&#156&#168 Meet Iris – your future best friend! &#226&#156&#168 Iris is our sweet foster girl born around November 5th to an Amish breeder farm and we took over her care when she was 8 weeks old.  Often when puppies have not been sold at eight weeks, they will either euthanize them or offer them to a rescue to take.  We jumped at the trance to help three puppies that they no longer saw fit to keep.  They were not in tip top shape at all, but they are now. Iris arrived a little bit scared and shy, but she now is the happiest, most curious soul. She’s independent but loves being around her humans, always wanting to be part of the action.   here is what her adoring foster mom, Jennifer has to say about her  'Iris is so playful, a ton of fun and super cute.  She fits right into our household routine faster than we expected. Iris gets along wonderfully with all of our dogs and absolutely adores our 10-year-old son, making her a fantastic candidate for a family home. While she’s happy and well-behaved in her crate (she sleeps there overnight and does great when we leave the house). Iris definitely prefers lounging out in the house when you’re home—close to her people. She just wants to be where you are.   Iris would make an amazing family dog: loving, joyful, adaptable, and a total delight to have around. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful companion with a big heart, Iris might be your girl. &#226&#156&#168we expect her to reach 75 pounds as an adult.    Message us to learn more or to meet Iris!   Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at    Ccrnewengland@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 30, 2026, 7:07 pm
