Story
Junior Bear honestly looks like someone accidentally combined a sad old grandpa, a baby polar bear, and Sid from Ice Age into one dog and somehow… it works perfectly LOL. This poor guy was in rough shape when he was first found and looked more like a little naked mole rat than a fluffy Great Pyrenees mix, but watching him slowly transform has honestly been so special. His coat is already coming back in beautifully and while we can’t guarantee exactly how fluffy he’ll end up being, we can confidently say he is becoming cuter by the day. Between the permanently expressive facial expressions, the little tongue that sticks out of his mouth like he always has something important to say, and the shy gentle personality hiding underneath it all, Junior is one of those dogs that completely sneaks up on your heart. Watch his video and prepare to become emotionally attached to the weirdest cutest little old man face you’ve ever seen: https://youtu.be/c2Rg4Ua3Vg8?si=UjyFxjQ-04MRPsDC Junior Bear is believed to be a Great Pyrenees/Lab mix approximately 6 years old and currently weighs around 50 lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. What we CAN guarantee though is that this boy has one of the most unintentionally hilarious and lovable faces we’ve ever seen. His expressions are absolutely incredible. Truly the type of dog that makes you wish you could speak fluent dog because you KNOW he has thoughts and opinions constantly running through that little head LOL. Junior is a very sweet gentle soul, but he is definitely more of a slow burn with people and new environments. He needs a little time to settle in, observe, and realize he’s safe before fully opening up. The good news? Baby talking him absolutely works LOL. Seriously, tell him he’s handsome, speak softly to him, let him approach you on his own terms, and you can literally watch him start melting. Once he warms up, you start seeing those little glimpses of his inner puppy come out and honestly it’s adorable. He’ll start asking for affection, leaning into attention, and showing off this really sweet cuddly side that feels incredibly rewarding to earn. Junior is dog friendly and has done well with every dog we have introduced him to so far, including dogs much smaller than him. He has been very respectful, easygoing, and mostly aloof around other dogs overall. He’ll sniff, coexist peacefully, let dogs sniff him, and then usually go right back to minding his own business. He’s definitely more of a “quiet peaceful coexistence” type than a built-in wrestling buddy. There were a few moments where he followed another dog around the yard curiously, but overall he seems happiest simply existing nearby rather than actively engaging in play. Because of that, we think he would do best with lower to medium energy respectful dogs that will give him space to acclimate naturally and won’t overwhelm him socially. He has also been around small dogs multiple times and did wonderfully with them. Junior also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. He did not chase Biggie, nor was he bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also seemed to feel comfortable around him as well. We do not know if he has ever lived in a home before with a cat and this was our first time seeing him with a cat. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for Junior to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know! Junior walks very easily on leash and honestly has the cutest little old man stroll ever. He likes to casually meander along at his own pace and seems to do best when allowed to lead the walk a little bit himself. Too much leash pressure tends to overwhelm him and then he frozen like a statue. Less pressure and more patience is really the key with him. He likes calm energy and slow introductions to things. Junior needs someone patient, understanding, and willing to go slow while trust is being built. Especially in the beginning, he can become uncomfortable with too much touch too quickly. However, when approached calmly and respectfully, he has continued showing that he is capable of building trust beautifully. Junior truly feels like a dog that just needs someone willing to meet him where he’s at emotionally instead of forcing him into situations before he’s ready. Despite his quirks, Junior is honestly a very easy low-energy dog overall. He is crate trained, quiet in the home, and would be perfectly content living a slower paced lifestyle filled with comfy naps, quiet companionship, sniffing around the yard, and peaceful walks. He could potentially do okay in a quieter apartment, townhome, duplex, or condo setting, but we really think having access to some kind of small yard would help him settle in more comfortably while building confidence with his new person. Once he feels safe, he truly is such a sweet quirky little gentleman with so much love underneath all the nervousness. Junior is not the type of dog that’s immediately going to run into your arms and act like your best friend on day one. He’s the type of dog where the connection builds slowly and then suddenly one day you realize this weird adorable little creature completely stole your heart. And honestly? Those dogs are usually the most special ones of all. We are willing to test Junior Bear with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match we can make anything happen! Just let us know. Story
Mazie Maybell seems to have been built using the exact same blueprint as a beloved childhood stuffed animal, with the most important upgrade- live action kisses, tail wags, and love-mode set to “always.” Fluffy, cheerful, affectionate, and wonderfully social, Mazie is the kind of puppy who makes herself at home in your heart almost immediately. Her sparkling eyes seem permanently set to "so happy to see you!" and her tail appears to believe every day is the best day ever! Go watch Mazie Maybell on YouTube, then come right back to read more about this fluffy little ray of sunshine. https://youtu.be/TmG1wMMhmAc Estimated to be around 6 months old and looking very much like a Great Pyrenees mix with a little extra marshmallow fluff sprinkled in, Mazie currently weighs 35 lbs. She is a rescue though so keep in mind-breed and age are simply our best guess. What we do know is that she is growing into what will likely be a large dog and already has the loving, family-friendly personality to match her future size. Mazie's specialty is collecting friends wherever she goes. New people are greeted with the warmth of someone welcoming old friends back from vacation. She is affectionate without being demanding, playful without being wild, and carries herself with the easy, adoring confidence of a puppy who assumes the world is full of kind people. That confidence shines through when meeting other dogs too. Mazie greets new canine friends politely and comfortably, showing lovely social skills and an easygoing attitude. She enjoys the company of other dogs and approaches new introductions with curiosity and good manners, making her an excellent candidate for a home with a resident dog. Mazie also had the opportunity to meet children ages 5 and 12, and she handled both interactions beautifully. Friendly, gentle, and eager to engage, she showed all the qualities we love to see in a family companion. Like any growing puppy, she'll continue benefiting from guidance and training, but her natural friendliness and affection were impossible to miss. When it came to meeting our house cat, Mazie was equally sweet and respectful. She showed gentle curiosity without being pushy and handled the interaction with the same easygoing nature she seems to bring to everything she does. As always, proper introductions are important, but our initial observations were positive and encouraging. Like all puppies, Mazie is still polishing her manners. She is learning leash skills, commands, and all about the rhythm and rules of home life but she is incredibly food motivated and eager to learn which is wonderful, making her the kind of puppy who should thrive with positive reinforcement and consistency. A home with a yard would be wonderful for her, especially considering her future size and puppy energy, but more than anything Mazie is looking for a family ready to include her in daily life, adventures, training sessions, and plenty of cuddle and snuggle breaks. Mazie has that special combination of traits that people often hope for but rarely find all in one puppy- friendly, affectionate, confident, social, gentle, playful, and genuinely easy to enjoy. She is the kind of dog who seems determined to make every person, dog, and cat feel welcome in her presence. At the end of the day, Mazie isn't just adorable, though she certainly has that covered. She's the kind of dog who is undoubtedly going to make life feel a little lighter, a little happier, and a whole lot fluffier. Questions? Window-down certified, calm and unbothered by the world around her... this is Sally. She has an easy presence, is happy to be included, never makes a big fuss about it, and somehow still ends up being everyone’s favorite part of the day. Go watch Sally on YouTube then come right back to read more about this sweet, steady girl. https://youtu.be/uh_GrKOtFTs Sally is estimated to be around 5 years old, weighs 75 lbs, and appears to possibly be an Anatolian Shepherd and Great Dane mix. As always with rescue, breed and age are our best guess. What we do know for sure is that she is calm, easygoing, and deeply committed to the simple things in life- a car ride with the windows down, a tasty treat, a little sweet talk, and a soft spot to relax. She is fostered with other dogs and does just fine around them, but Sally is not looking for a booked social calendar. She greets new dogs politely, keeps it short and sweet, and then goes right back to focusing on what really matters... namely peace, comfort, and perhaps a snack. She would be perfectly content as your one and only, but also enjoys the company of easy-going, relaxed dog friends. Inside the home, Sally settles in beautifully. She is quiet, easy company, and has a wonderful sense of her size, which is always appreciated with larger dogs. She feels like the kind of dog who understands how to live with people in a way that is gentle and natural. No chaos, no constant demands, just a lovely steady presence by your side. And if you needed even more proof that she is a gem, Sally recently spent time with a 5-year-old and was an absolute perfect lady. She was gentle taking treats, listened to commands, and calmly held a front row seat for an impromptu three-minute cartwheel routine. Honestly, it was giving proud Grandma vibes and we loved seeing it. Sally would be such a beautiful fit for a home where life moves at a softer pace. A home with kind people, regular visitors who know how to appreciate a good dog, and a rhythm that leans cozy instead of chaotic. She is not here to turn your world upside down. She is here to make it better, calmer, and a little more charming one slow afternoon together at a time. If you are looking for a dog with a gentle spirit, easy manners, and always ready to take shotgun, Sally is your girl.
