Story
Ace is a sweet Shih Tzu or Lhasa mix boy who lost his home and the only life he ever knew. Ace gets along with most other dogs and everyone he meets it seems. He suffered for many years with cherry eyes which are swollen glands in his eyes as well as dry eye. They were repaired as soon as he came to the rescue, but he will probably need eye drops for dry eyes for the rest of his life. He is such a sweet boy and will make a wonderful addition to a quiet home. Like many rescue dogs, we’re not sure how well housetrained Ace is but he “appears” to be potty trained. Ace is a lover who enjoys morning back scratches like no dog I’ve ever met. A good game of fetch is also in his daily agenda. He ❤️’s balls! Ace is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will require professional grooming every 6–8 weeks. Adoption Fee: $275 This fee includes at least one health exam with our veterinarian while in our care, spay/neuter, all vaccinations (including rabies, as age-appropriate), a pre-adoption professional grooming, and a microchip with lifetime registration at no additional cost. Dogs also leave with a new collar and/or harness, leash, and a gift bag that includes, among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble currently fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also help us rescue the next homeless or unwanted dog in need. If you would like to be considered for Ace or any of our wonderful dogs, please complete an application here. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AZST/Dog We review each application carefully. Please understand that we often receive multiple applications for specific dogs, and as a volunteer-run rescue, we may not be able to respond to everyone. All applications remain in our database, so please feel free to reach out if another dog catches your interest. We truly appreciate every applicant and strive to match each dog and family for a happy, successful life together.

I have no idea what type of dog he is my belief is that he's a lowland sheepdog so working dog my guess he is a whiner needs a lot of exercise and my belief is that he was abused we had rescued him from very bad dog owners he was kept outside and not fed very often we just can't take care of them because we can't give him what he needs. he also doesn't trust strangers well. but if you get to know him he will be a very sweet dog.

I'm affectionate, smart, and loyal, which means I'm eager to bond with my new family and learn all the things. My adoption fee is $450 and I promise you'll find me worth every bit of the love I have to give. ❤️ Come meet me soon — I can't wait to start our adventure together! 🐾 Vino is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Story
Theo is a wonderful dog who was given up by his owners because they were unable to train him not to bark at strangers. They stated that he wasn’t “cuddly” and they never bonded with him. We have continually worked on this and he is a smart boy who learns quickly. Unfortunately, their frustrations with him may have resulted in inappropriate treatment. We are also working with him on his fearfulness. He was adopted initially at the age of 8 weeks and his owners had him for 4 years. Theo is a personal favorite of mine at the rescue and I think he’s very special. We really want to see him get a patient and understanding person or family. Theo is a great size for hiking and long walks. Is he the boy for you? Theo is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Theo’s adoption fee is $300 This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue. If you would like to be considered to for this adoption or any of our amazing rescues, please fill out the application with the help of this link. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AZST/Dog. We review each application carefully. Please understand that sometimes we get numerous applications for specific dogs and as a volunteer-based rescue, we do not always have the time to respond to each one. We do our best to choose the most suitable home for each dog based on their specific personality and needs. Please note you MAY NOT be contacted for up to 10 days to schedule a meet and greet if your family is the most suitable for this rescue dog. Regrettably, we do not have the manpower currently to contact all applicants. We keep ALL applications in our database so please feel free to contact us when you see another dog of interest. We appreciate all applicants and do our best to pair every dog and family for a successful and happy life.

Story
Meet Newt, a sweet and playful 10-month-old purebred Japanese Chin who is ready to find her forever home. She is a friendly and affectionate pup with a massive heart who loves being close to her people. Newt is great with children and has never shown a hint of hostility toward her current dog housemate. She is up to date on her vet care, recently spayed, and is kennel trained, resting quietly and comfortably in her crate at night and when you’re out. She only barks at the doorbell or front door being opened, While she has a heart of gold, she is currently behind on potty training and struggles with indoor accidents - so she is looking for a patient, dedicated owner who is willing to provide a consistent daily routine to help her master potty training. She will be an incredibly loyal and loving addition to your home. Newt is purebred and comes with documentation. We spent a lot of $ purchasing Newt & want to keep her, but our 7 y/o Lhasa apso refuses to accept a second dog in the house.
