Harper is a 7-year-old, 12-pound sweetheart who joined Frosted Faces on June 13 after being brought to Long Beach Animal Care Services by local police. When the shelter reached out for help finding him a safe landing place, we happily welcomed this adorable little guy into our care. Harper recently enjoyed a weekend Frosted Field Trip, and it gave us an opportunity to learn more about him in a home environment. His foster mom shared that Harper appears to be reliably potty trained, sleeps through the night, and has great leash manners. Harper enjoys going for walks and even likes to pick up the pace for a little jog now and then! He bonded very quickly with his foster mom, and his favorite spot was right next to her. Harper loves being held and petted. Harper doesn't seem to have much experience with car rides and gets stressed. For now, until he gets used to riding in the car, it would be safest for him to travel in a crate. While Harper quickly bonded with his foster mom and was very loving with her, he can occasionally be be fearful around some new individuals. For that reason, we think he'd be most comfortable in an adult home or one with older, dog-savvy children who can respect his space and let him warm up at his own pace. If you're searching for a loyal companion who will happily join you for walks, cuddle sessions, and plenty of quality time, Harper is ready to fill that role with all his heart. Benny is not even a year old, so he still has that puppy vibe! He can be a little shy meeting new people, but he warms up quickly and gets along with everyone. He loves to give his people kisses and snuggle in their laps but he also enjoys playing with toys and other dogs! He is more submissive with our other pups and prefers dogs his own size or smaller. Benny is still learning, but he is mostly housebroken. He is also leash trained and does well in a car. Benny is approx 10 mo old, 17lbs, neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. Jax is 11 years old and 2 months. I unfortunately am allergic to Jax and am sad to have to re-home him, however it is necessary. I have tried to live with this but it is impossible. I am just to sensitive and allergic. He is has a microchip. He is potty trained. He likes Wellness dog can food I have given him grain free dog food. I also cook him extra people food like scramble eggs, and beef and lamb. He is allergic to chicken and poultry. Jax is very sweet and will make a wonderful pet. Also very loyal. Loves to snuggle up to you and is welcoming of people when they come over. He loves to walk. Jax is friendly, mellow, and affectionate, reported to enjoy cuddling and burrow in blankets. I adopted Jax from another family. Who already had another dog. I am looking for a loving home who will give a lot of care and attention. Great for an older person who would like company or a family as well. Great with kids. Please consider adopting for possible an older parent or older child.
