Story
Meet Ozzy! Ozzy is a happy, energetic 2-year-old dog who is ready to find his forever home. He was born and raised in a house with his 10 siblings, so he grew up surrounded by other dogs and learned how to socialize from a very young age. Ozzy is about 20 lbs and he has a big, joyful personality. He loves to play, run, and explore, and his curiosity makes every day an adventure. He is affectionate and enjoys cuddles, especially after a fun play session. He does great with other dogs, cats, kids, and adults. Cats are especially interesting to him — he sees them as weird little friends and is curious and playful around them. Ozzy would do best with an active family who can give him love, attention, and space to enjoy his energy. In return, he will give endless affection, smiles, and companionship. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, sweet, and social dog, Ozzy may be your perfect match! Ozzy will arrive in Albion, NY in mid March and we would love to have a family waiting for him! * Please note: All dogs are rescues so we often do not know the actual breeds but use an educated guess to tell you what they most look like. Our adoption fee is $400 and unless otherwise stated all dogs and puppies have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, 4DX tested(if age appropriate), Put on heartworm/flea/tick prevention, age appropriately vaccinated, dewormed, vet checked and flown from Puerto Rico. For more information on adopting please email madrescueofwny@aol.com and fill out our online application at https://form.jotform.us/70927213338153

Story
Meet Lennon! Lennon is a cheerful, lively 2-year-old pup with a heart as big as his personality. Growing up alongside a large group of siblings, he’s used to being part of the action and thrives on companionship, playtime, and attention from his people. At about 24 pounds, Lennon is the perfect medium size — sturdy enough for outdoor adventures but small enough to curl up comfortably beside you on the couch. He’s playful and spirited, always ready for a walk, a game, or a backyard zoom session, but he also has a sweet, affectionate side and loves settling in for snuggles when the day winds down. Lennon is friendly and welcoming with other dogs, respectful of cats, and gentle with children and adults alike. He enjoys meeting new friends and quickly becomes part of the family wherever he goes. He would thrive in a home that can offer regular activity, attention, and lots of love. In return, Lennon will bring laughter, loyalty, and a constant wagging tail to your life. If you’re hoping for a devoted, fun, and loving companion, Lennon may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for. Lennon is expected to arrive in Albion, NY in mid-March, and he can’t wait to start his next chapter with a family of his own. 🐾 * Please note: All dogs are rescues so we often do not know the actual breeds but use an educated guess to tell you what they most look like. Dogs will be spayed/neutered through us prior to finalizing any adoption. ********If dog/pup is showing as available it is available. Please do not email asking if it is. Submit application to meet dog if interested - yes an application is required******** Meet Gemma! Gemma is a 6-year old Bichon Frise-Poodle mix and a former puppy mill mama who is now discovering the comfort and safety of home life. She is a sweet, gentle and affectionate girl who loves nothing more than curling up with her foster sister, or snuggling on the couch with her people for a cozy movie night. Gemma is currently trained to potty on a pee-pad, but she will also go potty outside when taken out. Consistency in a routine is key for her! She also does walk on a leash, but seems to prefer to be carried when she is in a space that is unfamiliar to her. She does beautifully on car rides! She is dog-friendly and would do best with another calm adult dog in the home for both comfort and confidence. She may be overwhelmed by a dog who is high energy or a puppy. Gemma is on the anxious side due to her past so situations can be scary- especially if there are stairs involved. Gemma needs a more quiet and calm family who has patience, love and reassurance to help this sweet girl feel safe. As stated above, we prefer she goes to a home with another adult dog with a gentle temperament. She may start shy, but once she feels safe she truly begins to blossom into a little cuddlebug who wants nothing more than to be close to you.
