Story
Pilot is a loving, friendly dog who has been part of my family since she was 8 weeks old. She is 8 years old but still has the personality of a puppy. She is a people-oriented dog who is happiest when she is around her person and getting attention. Pilot is incredibly friendly, affectionate, and outgoing. She loves meeting people and has a big personality. She is playful, energetic, and always ready to be involved in whatever is happening.Pilot does have allergies that require ongoing management, as well as a long coat that requires regular grooming and maintenance. She also has some storm anxiety and while she generally gets along with dogs she does best with a dog that doesn’t match her energy.I am looking for a loving, patient home where Pilot can receive plenty of attention and affection. Someone who enjoys an outgoing, social dog and can give her more of the lifestyle she enjoys.

Story
(DOB 6/21/2021)  Tenzin is an adorable with a heart full of love. If you're looking for a loyal little shadow to share life's adventures, Tenzin is your guy! This sweet boy loves walks, playtime, and spending time with his people. He'll greet you with the cutest happy dance whenever you come home and is always ready to hand out kisses. His gentle, affectionate personality makes him impossible not to love. Tenzin is social and friendly. He enjoys the company of other dogs, has done well around cats, and loves meeting new people. He would thrive in a home where he gets plenty of companionship. He's also crate trained when treats are involved and sleeps comfortably in his crate at night.  Tenzin will need to wear a belly band in a new home for the first few weeks until he is settled and should not be left unsupervised in a yard as he knows how to squeeze under fences.  As part of Tenzin’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet pup, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Tenzin, you can complete an application online for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2787205##

Story
(DOB 06/21/2023) Bumi is a cute, goofy little guy with a big personality and an even bigger love for getting comfy! One of his favorite activities is rolling around in the grass, and once he's finished with his outdoor adventures, he's perfectly happy becoming your newest couch ornament. Bumi loves affection, snuggles, and being close to his people. He's also very food motivated, which has been a great tool for training. Bumi is working on his manners around food. He will, also, happily head into his crate when there's a tasty reward waiting for him. Just remember, imperfections are the new perfect! Bumi is just still learning how to navigate the world safely and learning that gentle is the way to go. With patience, consistency, and lots of love, he’s going to keep making progress and become the most wonderful little companion. He doesn’t need to be perfect; he just needs his perfect someone willing to help him grow. With the mix of cuteness, sweetness and goofyness this guy is going to make an excellent addition for that paw-fect person! Bumi is working on a bit of separation anxiety as well as house training. Heck, who can blame him; he naturally thinks his people want to be with him at all times. He'll need an adopter who can continue helping him build those skills with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement.  Because Bumi can become a little overwhelmed or overly excited and may nip in those moments; therefore, he would do best in a home without small children. His ideal adopter will be someone with dog experience who understands that building trust and good habits takes a little time. Underneath the things he's still learning is a silly, affectionate little dog who really wants companionship, security, and a comfortable couch to call his own. With the right person willing to give him structure and patience, Bumi has so much love and plenty of goofy grass rolls to offer.  You think you are Bumi's paw-fect match, then wait no longer!!  As part of Bumi’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet pup, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Bumi, you can complete an application online for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2794659##
