Story
Barfi and Jhaakas are kind of a package deal…or at least, we’d prefer it that way! They love each other, they're both available, and why only opt for one cutie patootie when you could have two? Barfi is the adventurer of the pair. She loves to run and play, and takes a little extra time to decide if a new person is worth her trust. But once she decides? Kisses. Many kisses. Jhaakas, meanwhile, is the cuddlebug. He’s still very much into playing and running outside, but happiest when he's close to his person and keeping tabs on where everyone is at all times. Together, they’re the perfect little duo: one who will keep you on your toes, and one who will keep you company while you catch your breath. Both were a little skittish at first, but warmed up fast. Once they're comfortable, they’re completely, entirely yours. They look at their people like they're the whole world. They're food motivated and fast learners, totally unbothered about eating near each other, and have been desensitized to brushing and handling. They love being outside in any weather, rain included, which we’d consider a major win considering where they live. If you've got room in your home and your heart for two, Barfi and Jhaakas are ready to be your best decision ever. -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Bentley! Bentley is a 4-year-old, 10 LB Terrier/Lhasa Apso mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. This little guy is sweet, cuddly, and loving with his people once he feels safe — but he does take time to open up and trust. Because of this, Bentley is looking for a very special home that can give him patience, structure, and stability. Bentley will need an adult-only household in a calmer, quieter environment. A bustling, busy home or small children would be too overwhelming for him. He enjoys going on walks and would love a quieter neighborhood where he can explore without too much stress. Once he has bonded with his person, he becomes incredibly loyal, affectionate, and loves to curl up for snuggles. Bentley does well with other dogs, but tends to prefer smaller dogs to larger ones. He can be shy and may fear nip when he’s uncomfortable, so he will need an experienced, dog-savvy adopter who understands shy or fearful pups and can give him the space and time he needs to decompress. Underneath his initial shyness, Bentley is playful, goofy, and full of love. With the right home — one that is calm, predictable, and patient — Bentley will blossom into a fun and affectionate little companion who bonds deeply to his person. Bentley is UTD vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.
