Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Bentley! Bentley is a 4-year-old, 10 LB Terrier/Lhasa Apso mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. This little guy is sweet, cuddly, and loving with his people once he feels safe — but he does take time to open up and trust. Because of this, Bentley is looking for a very special home that can give him patience, structure, and stability. Bentley will need an adult-only household in a calmer, quieter environment. A bustling, busy home or small children would be too overwhelming for him. He enjoys going on walks and would love a quieter neighborhood where he can explore without too much stress. Once he has bonded with his person, he becomes incredibly loyal, affectionate, and loves to curl up for snuggles. Bentley does well with other dogs, but tends to prefer smaller dogs to larger ones. He can be shy and may fear nip when he’s uncomfortable, so he will need an experienced, dog-savvy adopter who understands shy or fearful pups and can give him the space and time he needs to decompress. Underneath his initial shyness, Bentley is playful, goofy, and full of love. With the right home — one that is calm, predictable, and patient — Bentley will blossom into a fun and affectionate little companion who bonds deeply to his person. Bentley is UTD vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.   This dog came to us via an eastern WA shelter after being taken from a property with about 45 dogs on it.  They only knew that place so have been shy initially in new places and with new people.  Please expect this if considering one of these dogs/puppies.   Her coat does not need to be cut like a hair dog but we did it to when she came in to start her over with a fresh start due to her unkept coat.  Her coat is a medium length mix of a flully and scruffy.  There were a lot of scruffy terriers on the property but her color resembles a lhasa mix but is likely just the coat color she ended up with in that huge mix of heinz 57 small breed mixes.   She is a shy but gentle girl.  She will thrive with a quieter home and someone who will continue to make her feel safe and well cared for.  She was great for the groomer and vet staff too.  Loudness and chaos scares her.  Since she won't readily go up to people, she must be leashed outside and often inside.  She will stay just out of reach.  It will be a journey and only time and consistency will do the trick.  Keeping her safe until she reaches a safe spot with you is mandatory for success. If you can continue to shower her with love, kindness, training and all she needs and deserves, please submit our adoption application to get the process started.    Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 6, 2026, 8:54 pm

Story
Meet Jasper and Chloe! This sweet pair of seniors are in a long-term relationship, and we cannot separate them after 45+ dog years together. They are in need of a home that can open their hearts to both easy-going dogs. Jasper, a Shih Tzu born in August 2011, is ready to go with the flow. Need someone to lend an ear (despite not being able to hear that well) or just be a calming presence? Jasper is your guy! Chloe, a Bichon Frise mix born in September 2014, is quite the friendly gal. She is missing some teeth, leaving her tongue hanging out of her mouth in an adorable fashion. She is scheduled for a double knee replacement, and will need a home that can help her recover. Jasper and Chloe are great little dogs who would love to join your home! Visit our website to fill out an Adoption Application http://www.wagsequimwa.com If you have any questions, please email: office@wagsequimwa.com. Most of our dogs require a fully fenced yard, this does depend on the individual dogs needs and safety requirements. Adoption donation fee up to $350 (Please understand this adoption donation goes towards helping all the dogs we rescue) July 4, 2026, 4:43 pm
