Story
Gorgeous little Petey was spotted alone in a remote orchard in the Central Valley, far from towns or homes. His wonderful rescuer sent a trapper to get him. He was matted, scared, hungry and thirsty. We guess him to be about 5 or 6 years old and he’s a little guy, just 8 pounds. He wags his tail when we enter the shelter but he’s nervous to ask for affection. Petey will need a patient loving home with a secure backyard. No exceptions; he needs to be where he can gain confidence at his own pace. We can pet him and pick him up, but it requires some time and a slow, gentle touch. BUT....!! Petey is worth it. He’s very sweet and he gets along well with the other dogs. He loves to sunbathe and he follows us around in the shelter courtyard. Petey needs love and patience. Experienced homes preferred.

Story
Leelo is a very happy go lucky dog that needs a loving family that will give him what he needs. He loves to run and go on walks. Loves playing at the dog park and meeting other dogs. Loves playing tug o war. Very friendly and highly trainable and is potty trained. (Does need a set schedule for potty). He does require a lot of exercise as he has high energy and he does get scared easily and tends to bark out of fear and anxiety, but can be corrected with the right person.Commands he knows: SIT, COME HERE, LAY DOWN, WAIT, STAY, THIS WAY, HEEL (work in progress), LEAVE IT (work in progress) GIMME PAWWords he knows: OUTSIDE, PARK, WALK, RUN (he will try to race you once the word as been said), GO HOME, POTTY, WATER, TREATSI do have other pictures with his longer coat if you're interested. Please feel free to reach out with any questions. Thank you!

Story
Meet Dulce — Looking for His Happily Ever After!   At just 8 months old, Dulce has already been through more than any puppy should. He came to us from a heartbreaking hoarding situation where many small dogs were living together. He was neglected, filthy, covered in painful mats, and absolutely terrified.   With patience, kindness, and gentle care from our amazing groomer, Dulce received a much-needed spa day. His heavy mats were carefully removed, revealing the handsome little pup underneath. Just look at his incredible transformation!   Dulce is a very shy boy who is still learning that people can be kind, gentle, and loving. He can be nervous around small children, so a **home without children is strongly recommended.**   Dulce would do well with another small, friendly dog to keep him company and help him gain confidence.   He needs a patient, understanding family who will give him the time, reassurance, and love he needs to feel safe and blossom at his own pace. Behind that shy exterior is a sweet young pup just waiting for someone to show him what it means to be loved.   Dulce deserves a home where he will always feel **safe, cherished, and cared for.**   Could you be the person to give Dulce the loving forever home he deserves?   Please share his story — his perfect family could be just one share away!
