Story
Bunny is a darling Maltese who has truly been through it, but you’d never know it from her gentle spirit and sweet disposition. This little angel came to us with an old leg injury that had healed incorrectly and made walking painful. After her amputation, Hazel has been so much happier — she moves with ease and confidence now, proving once again that tripods thrive! Bunny is also missing one eye, but trust us… none of this slows her down one bit. She gets around beautifully, enjoys soft naps in cozy beds, and loves nothing more than being close to her person. She’s quiet, affectionate, and an absolutely delightful companion. If you’re looking for a loving little shadow to bring warmth and sweetness into your home, Bunny is your girl. 🫶 Apply to meet her and let this brave, beautiful Maltese melt your heart.

Story
Fourteen small dogs are beginning fresh chapters after being rescued together from a heartbreaking hoarding situation in Stockton, where more than 30 dogs were living in severe neglect and unsanitary conditions. These precious pups — a mix of Maltese mixes, Chihuahua mixes, and Terrier mixes — have endured far more than any dog ever should. Many arrived with severe matting and painful urine burns, and we’re getting them all to the groomer to finally feel clean, comfortable, and cared for. Beneath it all, they are truly gorgeous little souls. Understandably, this transition is overwhelming for them. They’re a bit scared and unsure right now — but even through the fear, their sweetness and gentle nature shine through. They lean in for affection, accept love, and remind us just how resilient dogs can be. These babies will need patient, compassionate homes where they can decompress, feel safe, and learn that the world can be kind. In return, they’ll offer deep gratitude, quiet companionship, and the kind of love that only a survivor can give. If you’re looking to make a life-changing difference — for them and for you — one of these little ones may be waiting just for you.

Good with cats,
Story
Tiana is one of fourteen dogs rescued from a hoarding situation in California’s Central Valley. When she arrived, she was severely matted and had clearly gone a very long time without proper care Tiana is timid and quiet, but deeply observant. Her foster shared that when a soft bed was made for her, she climbed right in, as if she somehow knew it was meant just for her. She spent the night resting there peacefully, choosing the crate as her safe space. She is a submissive, gentle dog who responds well to calm verbal direction and makes sweet eye contact, even when she’s unsure. Despite her fearfulness, she has shown no signs of fear-based aggression—no growling, snapping, or teeth. She handled a bath with remarkable tolerance and appears to be comfortable with men. She is also cat-friendly—she allowed a cat to sniff her calmly and chose to retreat when the cat became bold, rather than react. The outside world is still very new and overwhelming for Tiana. She tries to hide when she sees a collar or leash, but if gently guided, she allows them to be put on. Once outside, she often just sits, taking everything in, as if she’s never truly seen the world before. While she hasn’t yet figured out her potty routine, she has not had any accidents indoors, suggesting she may have some house manners already—just waiting for patience and understanding to unlock them. 💫 Tiana will thrive in a quiet, patient home—one that understands that love doesn’t have to be loud, and trust doesn’t happen overnight. She doesn’t need much: a calm environment, gentle guidance, and someone willing to move at her pace. If you’re the kind of person who believes the softest souls are often the most special ones—and that watching a dog learn safety for the first time is a privilege—Tiana may be your girl.
