Story
Little pup seeking the back of your recliner or couch to share. Introducing Teddy, a 2 ½ year old, 7-8 pound, Morkie (Maltese/Yorkshire Terrier cross) with a silky, soft coat requiring routine grooming. Teddy needed a few months to decompress and settle into foster care so we could get to know him and help him secure his forever home. This little guy’s personality is more like that of a Terrier; he’s independent, knows what he likes and doesn’t like, is playful, and loving to his people. Teddy does not trust people right away and will require time to adjust to the adopter. Teddy came to our rescue after his owner fled her home because of domestic violence issues. Understandably, he requires a very calm home, without children, and a patient, understanding adopter. As you could maybe tell from the opening sentence, one of Teddy’s favorite places to lay is on the back of his foster mom’s recliner chair. He enjoys overseeing the activities of the house’s other dogs from his perch, having a good cuddle, as well as sleeping under his blanket. Teddy’s foster home has several small dogs in the home and he really enjoys playing tug and chase with them. Teddy has some emotional scars from the life he lived prior to rescue, but he has made a lot of progress these past several months. We are hoping that you are that special person willing to give this boy a chance to become your best buddy. He deserves a wonderful new life.
