He may be a little shy when you first meet him, but give him a little time and you’ll quickly see his sweet side come shining through. Once Little Rascal feels comfortable with you, get ready for lots of kisses, cuddles, and constant companionship. He loves being close to his people and will happily follow you around, making sure you’re never short on affection. Little Rascal still has plenty of puppy energy and loves to run, play, and have fun. He gets along great with other dogs and especially enjoys playing with all his little doggie friends. Whether he’s chasing toys, wrestling with his buddies, or curling up next to you after playtime, he’s happiest when he’s surrounded by love. Little Rascal is looking for a family who will give him the patience to come out of his shell and all the love he deserves. Story
Sadie is officially ready for adoption. Crazy4Pawz saved Sadie from the shelter on June 3rd, when she was on the list to be euthanized. She is about 8 years old and weighs just 9 pounds. Since coming into rescue, Sadie has had a dental, spay and mastectomy, and she has made a wonderful recovery. She has definitely been quite an expense for our little rescue, but seeing her healthy, happy and ready for a home makes it all worthwhile. Sadie had her stitches removed on August 8th and has now been cleared for adoption. Do not let her age or size fool you. Sadie has a lot of energy. She loves to run around, explore and play, and she would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard where she can stretch those little legs. She also knows how to use a doggie door. Sadie does well with other dogs, but large dogs scare her, so a home where she can feel safe and comfortable around appropriately sized canine companions would be best. Sadie has also been very fortunate to have a wonderful foster who cared for her throughout her recovery, took her to all of her appointments and made sure she had everything she needed along the way. Now that the hard part is behind her, Sadie is ready for what comes next: a family of her own. Story
Maisey is a darling Maltipoo who is about 2 years old and weighs 13 lbs. We got her out of the Riverside shelter where she was taken after being confiscated from a meth house. She's had a rough start in life and sustained a terrible burn on her shoulder that healed but left her with a small hairless patch. When we got Maisey she was so loving and affectionate and playful. It's amazing to see how resilient dogs can be! After about a week we noticed some unusual behavior in which she would suddenly chase her tail. It would only last a couple of seconds, but we decided to take her to a neurologist. The vet feels it might have been some drug that Maisey was given that caused this strange behavior. When she gets overly stimulated with people in excitement, she'll whip around and chase her tail for about 5 seconds and sometimes she growls when she does. But there's no aggression towards a person, and she's never tried to bite anyone. Maisey was put on medication that has reduced the frequency; and it's now well controlled. THE RESCUE WILL CONTINUE TO PAY FOR MAISEY'S MEDICATION.  Otherwise, she's your typical young pup. She's energetic and very playful. Maisy is very friendly with everyone she meets. She gets along with other dogs but may be a bit too rambunctious for older dogs or shy ones. She loves toys and can be self-entertaining. Maisey has no separation anxiety and often chooses to sleep in another room after spending some time in bed with her foster. Maisey is great on a leash and trots along at a brisk clip. And she's excellent at the groomer. She gets very drooly when in a car, so she's not the dog you want to take on long trips. Maisey would do best in an adult-only home. If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Maisey, the first step is to submit an adoption application.
