Story
We are happy to introduce Angel, a Maltipoo recently arrived to Rhode Island! She has been through a lot, arriving at a Houston, TX shelter in rough shape, but she has gotten the attention she needs...shaved of her mats, spayed, a lung infection treated....and will be a beauty once her coat grows back! She was someone's loved pet at some point, and once she gets back in that setting shines with rays of joy. We have seen that ourselves, going from a cowering dog in the shelter too shut down to even seek attention, shifting to vibrant simply by being relocated to the home of her Texas foster that very same day. Angel is gentle, affectionate and very sweet, only wanting to be by your side. She pays very good attention to her people without being overbearing, LOVES to go on walks, or simply to bask in the comfort of a dog bed. She is easy to handle, gets along with kids, dogs and cats, but does not need other pets for company. With other dogs, she is no pushover and knows how to assert herself, but once settled in lives with them harmoniously. She's roughly seven years of age, so either middle aged or a very young senior, which much life left in front of her, although as is true of all dogs of a certain age, more veterinary care and expense can be expected....true of all dogs, but with these older ones it just comes sooner. With frequent out times, she is ok with her housebreaking, but will need patience as she settles into a routine.
