About Me: Name: Amelia and Bedelia Breed (or best guess): Bichon Mix Approximate Age: 6 yr Gender: Female Approximate Weight:  Adoption Fee: $800 for the pair Requirements: Fenced yard, patient adopter Why In Rescue: surrendered breeding dogs Profile:  Amelia and Bedelia are best friends who love to cuddle and groom each other.  They came to us with a number of other dogs from the same facility.  Amelia had a scratched eye that has now healed and is all fine now.  Bedelia had a severe head tilt, which we discovered was due to a bad ear infection.  After weeks of treatment, she is much better and ready to be adopted.  Like most retired breeding dogs, these girls are shy and are now learning to trust people.  They haven't worked on leash walking yet, but we either pick them up to take them out to the fenced area, or allow them to follow us out.  Another small social dog in the home may help the girls figure out housetraining faster, but we won't require another dog in the home because they have each other.  Please review the information on puppy mill dogs before applying to adopt Amelia and Bedelia, as they will require a person with extra patience to allow them to flourish in their new home.
