Maine Coon kittens & cats in Cave Creek, Arizona

Phineas is a shy gray cat. Perhaps tabby/main coon mix? I'm not sure because I'm only seen him a few times in the past 6 years. He was my Mother in Laws cat. She unexpectedly passed away last week and we need to rehome this cat with someone as no one in the family can keep him. He would do best in a home without other cats, but seems ok with other small/medium dogs. He stays indoors and uses a litter box now. We are in a time crunch to find him a new home as he is just home alone in her condo with us visiting ever couple of days right now - and that doesn't seem fair to him. Jupiter is a 13-year-old Maine Coon with a loving, affectionate personality! He loves to be petted, cuddled, and is very sweet with people.He would thrive in a home where he is the only pet, as he cannot live safely with other cats or small animals.Jupiter has severe claustrophobia, so he cannot tolerate being confined in rooms with doors closed and will meow loudly if he feels trapped. Because of this, he is listed as special needs.*He needs freedom to roam the home safely. Even in a free-roaming environment, he meows daily, which is part of his personality.We are unsure how Jupiter reacts to children, so a home without young children is preferred to ensure his safety.We are looking for someone who can provide love, understanding, and care for his unique personality. In the right home, he will be a devoted, affectionate companion.
