Her name is Ellie May. She came to our door many years ago in the cold state of Maine and made the long move to Florida. She is 12 years old and very sweet. She loves to snuggle and curl up in a lap. She can only go to a home without other pets or kids. She is very small and would love a quiet place to call home. We cannot keep her in our new place, in addition to the noise and chaos that comes with young grandchildren and young dogs. She loves finding places to hide and will often spend the day there. She is a bit picky about her litter. It has to be Arm and Hammer Slide specifically or she will not use it. We found that out the hard way. She also lives a very clean litter box. We love her dearly but must do what is best for her and it is not the noisy place we call home.

She is super sweet, affectionate, trusting, playful, and wonderfully loving—with just enough independence to keep things interesting! Maple absolutely loves her humans and is always happy to soak up some affection. She especially loves snuggling with her babies, and watching her be a devoted mama is enough to melt anyone's heart. She can be a little talkative too, so don't be surprised if she has a few things to tell you! This girl LOVES to eat and believes treats are one of life's greatest inventions. Add some catnip to the mix and you've got one very happy Maple! When she's not looking for snacks, she's busy playing. Cat houses, tunnels, toys, and cat towers are all fair game. She can be a total ball of energy when the mood strikes, zooming around and having the time of her life. But after all that playing? Maple is more than ready for a good nap and some serious snuggle time. Maple is also wonderfully social. She has done great with big dogs, other cats, and both men and women, making her a fantastic addition to a variety of families. She is independent enough to entertain herself, but she truly loves being loved. Maple doesn't need to be attached to you every second of the day—but when she wants affection, she'll happily remind you that she's there!
