Story
Ellie is looking for a new home after her owners age and health made it too difficult to care for her. She is about 3-4 years old, very friendly and sweet. She is currently fostered in a home with several cats and a few dogs, so while she has been the only cat for a couple years, she is adjusting to life with many four footed siblings. She would do best with a furry friend or two, but did fine as an only cat with a full time person to love her. She is a beautiful girl and wants to love and be loved. Do you have a place in your home and heart for her?

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Mary is a luxurious Maine Coon mixed girl.My name is Mary and I am a very affectionate young lady.  A kind man and woman saved me from the cold in the winter and now I am ready for my forever home.  I just love being with people, and having all the attention!  I am very laid back.  I am FIV positive and I will do fine with other cats or I can be your one and only.  Please read about FIV below.  There is nothing to be afraid of -- I am not contagious and I can live a long happy, healthy life.   If you want to make my dreams come true, please submit an application at chathamanimalrescue.org What is FIV?  Feline Immunodeficiency Virus(FIV) is a virus that attacks the immune system of cats.  There is no treatment or cure.  FIV is a cat-only disease and cannot be transmitted to people or dogs.  FIV+ cats should be kept indoors to prevent exposure to illness, sterilized and fed a balanced diet.  They should be seen by a veterinarian at least once a year to ensure their ongoing good health. Transmission:  FIV is passed from cat to cat mainly through deep bite wounds, the kind that occur during fights and territorial disputes involving feral and unsterilized males.  Casual, social behavior such as sharing a water/food bowl and mutual grooming will NOT spread FIV.  There is no evidence that cats in the household with an FIV+ cat will acquire FIV from the FIV+ cat. Lifespan:  Multiple medical studies show that cats who are FIV+ live just as long as FIV-negative cats.  FIV itself does not cause severe clinical signs, and FIV+ cats can live many years without any health problems.    For additional information contact your veterinarian.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 20, 2026, 9:47 am

Story
Meet Rocky and his sister Flower. These gorgeous fluffies need a patient home willing to work for their snuggles. They are shy at first -  especially Flower but with time and patience they warm up into soft sweet cuddle buddies. They get along very well and love wrestling in the morning and napping in the afternoon. Interactive play and canned food is the key to winning Flower over. Rocky loves to be picked up and held like a baby. Flower also allows this when she is in the mood- you have to work harder to win her trust but it’s totally worth it. She’s such an elegant little lady. They would love a home together ideally and need a patient, quiet home that will be willing to put the love, time and effort into making them feel safe and secure for them to blossom into the best furkids that they can be.  If you are interested in adopting Rocky and Flower, please fill out an adoption application here  https://miasmafia.org/adoption-application You must live within 50 miles of the Raleigh, NC area in order to qualify for adoption. Approx DOB 09/01/2025 Adoption fee is $200.00 for the pair ##2643560##

Story
Finn was a gift from a family friend a couple months ago, and sadly we simply cannot afford him anymore. It is important to note that Finn is not a high-maintenance cat, we just have 2 other cats and can no longer afford a 3rd. Finn is around 3 years old, and is looking for a home where he is preferably an only child. Finn is a very adaptable and social cat. He loves food, talking, playing with his toys, and cuddling in the mornings. If I had to describe Finn in one word it would be perfect. I know that’s a bit of a cliche, but Finn really is a perfect cat. He’s box-trained, loves people, and is pretty low maintenance. I’m devastated that we don’t have the space/money for him any longer and can only dream he finds the perfect home he deserves.
