Story
Boyd is a 7 to 9 month old bundle of playful chaos and pure affection, who is getting fluffier by the day! He’s very food motivated, deeply cuddly, and follows his people around like a little ghost. Seriously. You will turn around and he will be there. He doesn’t mind being picked up, though he is still pretty squirmy, and he loves to show off random bursts of kitten energy before promptly passing out for a 10 hour nap. The rest of the time, he’s happiest curled up in a lap, purring like a tiny engine and making biscuits with absolute dedication. Boyd has big younger brother energy. He’s affectionate, a little ridiculous, and always nearby. Because he tends to stay right underfoot, he may not be the best fit for someone with mobility concerns, but for the right home he’ll be a constant, loving companion. If you’re looking for a playful lap cat who purrs nonstop and wants to be involved in everything you do, Boyd is your guy. *Boyd is located in a Philly foster home in Spruce Hill* Full disclosure priority will be given to adopters who already have a playful kitty in the home! Or are interested in adopting Boyd with a kitty companion! Please reach out via email or phone if you’re interested in adopting!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Fanta may be missing a lot of body parts (a leg, a tail, an ear), but she is the absolute SWEETEST lovable lap cat you'll ever meet! She is only 2 years old, but she's had a rough time up until now! We don't know a whole lot about her back story, but we were told that her family threw her outside and then moved and left her behind. A neighbor who witnessed this reached out to ask if we could take her in, and of course we said yes. That's a harsh story for any cat, but even more so for Fanta who only has 3 legs and has trouble getting around. We don't know how she lost her leg, her tail, and her ear, but our vet said they were definitely injuries, she was not born like this. She was outside in this freezing cold, fending for herself. Now she is in a loving foster home where she has plenty of cozy cat beds (including a heated cat bed which she loves!) She LOVES people and wants nothing more than to snuggle up on your lap and be pet. She likes being carried around and even enjoys belly rubs! She rolls over as soon as she sees you. She kind of scoots/hops around and cannot jump, but she is perfect with using her litter box. Stairs might be difficult for her, but she'd be more than happy to be carried up and down them. She is scared of other animals (the vet thinks that at least her ear injury was most likely caused by another cat), she really can't defend herself or run away, so we think she'd be happiest as an only pet where she can get all the love and attention! She loves the children at her foster home (and all their friends who come over to visit her and give her lots of love). We are always amazed by animals like Fanta, who were so wronged by humans and yet remain so joyful, affectionate and friendly. Her luck has definitely turned around and she is excited to embark in this new chapter! She is an amazing cat and will make a wonderful addition to your home!  This cat is spayed, microchipped, up to date on distemper and rabies vaccinations, dewormings, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is on flea/tick preventative and ear mite preventative. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a 'Cat Adoption Application'   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms       Adoption fee is: $250 Can’t adopt? Consider donating! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Mountain Dew missed the bus! Meet Mountain Dew, a silly little 5 month old kitten who should have been available for adoption last month! He was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina and was staying at a loving foster home with his other kitty friends while they waited for transport up to Delaware Pet Rescue. On transport day, a dozen kitties (including Mountain Dew, or so we thought), were loaded up into crates and picked up by our awesome transporter. Then a couple hours later, guess who comes sauntering into the living room - you guessed it - Mountain Dew! We aren't sure how he missed the bus, but he did, and he seemed proud of himself about it! This time, we double and triple checked to make sure he was indeed on the transport bus, and he arrived safe and sound! He is such a friendly and outgoing kitten who just loves to be pet, loves to be held and loves to play. He is great with other cats, dogs and kids. He slept in his foster mom's bed every night and is an A+ cuddler. We love him and we know you will too! Just make sure he doesn't somehow Houdini himself out of his crate when you come pick him up!  This cat is neutered, microchipped, up to date on distemper and rabies vaccinations, dewormings, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is on flea/tick preventative and ear mite preventative. Story
Penelope is as sweet as they come and somehow getting fluffier by the day, like she’s slowly transforming into a very affectionate cloud. When she was found, she made one thing immediately clear. She has thoughts. Lots of them. And she’s happy to share. Chirps, meows, trills, and the occasional follow up note just to be sure you’re paying attention. Penelope doesn’t just talk, she participates. She’s a lap cat extraordinaire, the kind who climbs aboard with purpose and settles in like it’s her full time job. But don’t let the cuddles fool you. Penelope has a playful streak that pops out when you least expect it. She’ll chase a toy with surprising enthusiasm, pounce with confidence, and then bounce right back into your lap to make biscuits like nothing happened. It’s a seamless balance of cozy and fun. Her fluff seems to be expanding daily, as if she’s storing up softness the way other cats store snacks. One day she’s plush, the next she’s practically a throw pillow with opinions. And through it all, she remains endlessly gentle, friendly, and deeply people oriented. Despite whatever her past looked like, Penelope moves through the world with trust and curiosity. Every human is a potential best friend. Every lap is an opportunity. She melts into pets, leans into affection, and makes even ordinary moments feel warmer just by being there. Penelope is ready for a home where her snuggles are welcomed, her playfulness is encouraged, and her ever growing fluff is admired daily. She’s not just a cat. She’s a companion, a lap warmer, a conversationalist, and a little puff of joy waiting to land exactly where she belongs.

Story
Sebastian is confident, playful, and makes himself right at home. He’s vocal in a friendly, conversational way and enjoys being involved in daily life. Based on his size, appearance, and behaviors, he’s likely a Maine Coon mix. Because of his extremely easy-going nature, Sebastian would be a great fit for a home with children. He’s social, curious, and affectionate without being overwhelming. Rescued from West Philadelphia but he’s currently crashing in Plymouth Meeting, PA
