Hello my name is Betsy and I was born April 9th, 2014; I have not been spayed and have never had any pregnancies. I did get a breast tumor and it was removed and tested as benign. I think I'm up to date on all my shots except my rabies shot but maybe I should go to the vet. I'm a bit old now and most of the time I lay around but every once in a while I do like to play with squeaky toys. I was attacked by a bigger dog when I was younger and now have a scar on my eye but my eye is just fine and now I don't like other animals. I love kids but get jealous if I'm not the only child in the home getting all the attention and being spoiled and have taken out my jealously by using the house as a potty place. I recently had some health issues and need food with a probiotic in it; I have been eating purina proplan adult small breed chicken or the senior small breed salmon and now I don't have tummy issues. I need a new home where I can be the center of attention.

The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.  However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children, and we do not know how they will react. Please do not waste your time or ours if you are not prepared to adopt within 2 weeks and you are not willing to pick the dog up at its location. Hi! We discovered Tofu on the streets in 2022 and welcomed her into our family with open arms. Despite her visual impairment, Tofu's gentle nature and unwavering happiness have illuminated our lives. She quickly adapted to her surroundings, learning to navigate our home and even enjoying outdoor adventures. Tofu's resilient spirit and love for life have been evident in every wag of her tail and joyful bark. However, as our family has grown and our responsibilities have multiplied, we regretfully realize that we can no longer provide Tofu with the attention and companionship she deserves. Despite her best efforts, Tofu has struggled to forge strong bonds with our other dogs, and we believe she would thrive in a home where she can receive undivided attention and love. Tofu is a loyal and affectionate companion, always eager to shower her humans with love and affection. She is spayed, microchipped, and has received regular veterinary care, including dental cleaning.
