Story
Pookie came in as a stray with who we initially thought was her sibling, Dumpling. Her coat was severely matted, so much so that we had to shave most of her. In the process, it became clear that she was very pregnant. She is days away from giving birth, so she is not available to adopt just yet, but once her puppies are weened, the Pookie will be looking for a place to call home. She’s been super sweet and loves attention. She’s also been great with every other dog that she has met so far. She has had no accidents in her crate and seems to be housebroken.

Story
Hello There! Get ready, cuz here we come! We are Bobby, and David and we are quite the dynamic duo, ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and fun! Our beloved owner who took excellent care of us, passed away tragically and unexpectedly and just as tragic, we were left with no where to go. The family members have some really mean kitty cats that did not like dogs at all, so Forever Loved stepped up to give us the next best home. We went right in to a foster home with plenty of other dogs to play with, and the fosters say we are such good dogs and will be hard to give up! Make you want to learn more about us?? Bobby here - I am a 5-year-old 11 lb Maltese mix, and in great health. The vet said I had some gingivitis, whatever that is, but after a dental, I have nice teeth and fresh breath! My favorite thing to snuggle up with at night in my bed is my stuffed monkey toy. David here - I am a 9-year-old 32lb Corgi mix and except for being a tiny bit overweight and having normal senior eye issues, I’m healthy myself. My favorite thing is chewing on nylabones and I prefer to keep them to myself. I won’t pick a fight over them, but I definitely let the other dogs know that it is “mine!” I think it is so much fun to dissect stuffed toys. That’s another normal doggy behavior, and it has its root in food acquisition. Speaking of food, we both are great eaters and finish our bowls with gusto. We are both very reliably house-trained, we learned to use a doggy door, and our fosters say our tails are always a wagging. We have good house manners, and if we all start barking, we will shush at just a single cue. We met a child and were so happy to have someone to play with besides other dogs. Not that we don’t like other dogs, quite the contrary, we love everyone! No reason why you can’t adopt both of us together! We are not double the work, but we do bring double the snuggles, cuddles and kisses.

Please contact Constance (connibouchard@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Rescued dogIf you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.  However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children and we do not know how they will react. Hi my name is Karma and I'm a little sweetheart! I'm a happy girl and love to play (sometimes with myself), also wrestling and chasing are fun as well. I came from a bad place where we were not handled very well and didn't receive any socialization. I have been in my foster home for just over 9 months and have made huge progress in learning to trust. I still hate to be picked up and held, but I will sit on the couch with you and bedtime will have to be in bed with you. I sleep through the night! I think people are less threatening when they are laying down and I love to be petted at night when we are in bed. I sometimes will even lay my head on my foster mom while I fall asleep. I do pretty good on the house training and use the doggie door most of the time. Sometimes I still do have accidents, though. I definitely need to have another playful dog that gets along with me. My foster mom loves to watch me play with Joy, the other foster dog in the house. We chase each other and wrestle a lot. I do have separation anxiety, and bark like crazy when my foster mom even heads for the door. I really like to hear my own voice. I'll need to be in a home where somebody is home most of the time to help me with this. Also somebody who has tons of patience because I'm still a work in progress! If you have been waiting for a beautiful Maltese girl, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org. Love, Karma 031823-17  July 26, 2024, 3:59 pm

Story
PWRESCUE.ORG *PHOENIX METRO AREA ONLY*  Meet Cooper, the lovable Maltipoo with the most fabulous underbite ever (and who doesn’t love a fabulous underbite!) Cooper is an 8-month-old, 9 pound bundle of fluff and is soft as a cotton ball.  He came to the rescue when his owner could no longer care for him.  Besides obviously being cute and having an AMAZING underbite, he is also smart, sweet, playful, loves everyone and plays well with others. Cooper’s hobbies are playing and wrestling with a four-legged friend, getting snuggles and playing with squeeky toys.  Cooper’s must haves are: another, younger playful dog in the home; safe secure yard to run zoomies in!!  He is an escape artist...he has figured out how to climb out of playpens and over baby gates...His new owners will need to be super duper careful about any open doors as he will quickly sneak out the door through your legs.   Cooper is still very much a puppy and is VERY active, so will need to be in a home with owner(s) who will have patience and time for all the fun and craziness that comes with puppy training!   Are you ready to add this cutie pie to your family?  Cooper is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped.  His adoption fee is $400.00. If you are interested in Cooper, please visit our website at: https://pwrescue.org and click on the "Adopt" button to complete an application.Pathways Home Animal Rescue July 24, 2024, 10:52 pm
