We will take a "Happy Adoption Day photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart: Park in the PetSmart Parking lot and enter the store. Meet Cricket! At just 3 months old and 6 pounds, Cricket is an adorable little Maltese/Terrier mix—or at least that’s our best guess! With rescue puppies, breed mixes are often a mystery, which means we can’t predict exactly how big she’ll be when she’s grown. What we do know is that she’s absolutely precious. Cricket has a sweet, gentle nature that makes everyone fall in love with her. When you reach down to pick her up, she doesn’t shy away from hands at all—instead, she makes herself extra small and melts into the floor as if she’s trying to be the most polite puppy in the world. It’s impossibly cute. This little girl is doing wonderfully with puppy life. She’s not picky about food, is happily working on her potty training, and has had no accidents so far when taken outside regularly. She’s already comfortable in a crate and rides nicely in the car, making her an easy companion for adventures both big and small. Cricket loves spending time in the yard exploring the world around her. Leashes are still a bit of a mystery to her, but at her age that’s completely normal. She’s curious and confident enough to follow her people around the house, yet independent enough to wander off and settle into a cozy dog bed when she’s ready for a nap. Meet Brynn! This tiny 2-year-old Maltese mix may be small (6 pounds), but her love for snuggles is HUGE. Brynn is the definition of a cuddle-bug and would happily spend her days curled up in your lap, soaking up all the affection she can get. Brynn can be a nervous girl when meeting new people and in new environments, so she’s looking for a patient and understanding family that will give her the time and space she needs to feel safe. Once she warms up, her sweet and loving personality truly shines. She does experience some separation anxiety and will whine or cry when she’s away from her people. However, she is learning to settle in her crate with time and reassurance. Brynn will thrive with a family committed to helping her build confidence. Brynn is currently working on both house training and crate training and is doing well with consistency. She lives in a foster home with both small and large dogs and gets along great with everyone, though she’s still figuring out how to join in on playtime. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate companion and are willing to give a little extra love and patience, Brynn will reward you with endless snuggles and devotion. His minimum adoption fee is $400 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.
