You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Buffy and Tina are buddies who need to find a home together.  Buffy is a maltese and Tina is a chihuahua. Their owner was a homeless woman so these two little dogs were very dependant on each other.  They were frequently left alone for long periods of time either in a tent or a motel room.  Buffy is a little skittish around strange people at first but warms up quickly to anyone with a lap for her to snuggle on. Tina is a little more nervous and is frightened of men.  Both love their walks and sniffing out all the new smells.  Both are crate, leash and potty trained and love treats and snoozing on the couch.  Both are UTD on shots, spayed and on flea preventatives.  Neither has ever been around small children. The perfect home would be a quiet husehold with a patient loving lady and a fenced yard to play in.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 15, 2026, 8:12 pm

    Dexter is a loving guy however, he takes time to warm up to new people and it is on his time not yours. If he is just allowed to transition into his new home on his own, without a human trying to force it to quickly he will do fine. Does well with other dogs, no cats and no small children. We require   that you have a fenced in yard, not a "kennel" in the yard AND we do not approve underground fencing. Depending upon the dog some exceptions are made for those who live in apartments.   We also require that the adoptee will be a part of the family "living" within the home. Story
Crouton/aka Louis is adorable, but has his quirks. While he is tolerant of others in the household, he is definitely a one-person dog. At times he can become overprotective and may growl at others who get too close to his chosen one. However, he has never bitten any other human or animal. This is an energetic dog who loves routine. Part of that routine is going on walks. He walks well on a slip-lead leash and will heel well. That is until he sees another dog or squirrel and then it is time to bark! He can be redirected by turning around and he has been to numerous training sessions to improve his socialization with other dogs. While he has historically gotten along with a few other dogs, he might do best in a one dog home or at least a home with another calm well-balanced pet. Because he is so energetic, keeping up with his focused leash walks, and maintaining his training will help Crouton, as well his medication routine, which can be adjusted as necessary with a vet recommendation. He has been on Vet-prescribed fluoxetine, (prozac) 10mg daily, he takes easily with a morning treat. It has definitely helped, but it is not a magic pill. Crouton is cuddly and makes a great lap dog with his favorite human. He likes to be petted, but not on his head. He will growl if petting time is over and will usually jump down to lie on his bed in his crate for a nap. Crouton would make a fantastic pet for someone experienced with an energetic pet, who has a fenced-in yard for him to run and play fetch. Crouton is neutered, weighs 10#, is vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm and flea medications. His adoption fee is $400.
