My pet, Nico, is approximately 7 years old and has been a very special companion in my life. He is affectionate, loyal, and used to being around people, so he greatly enjoys company and affection. He is a gentle, calm pet with a wonderful temperament. I am putting him up for adoption due to a change in my financial situation and the instability of my current housing situation. This decision has not been easy for me, but I want the best for him and I know he deserves a stable home where he receives all the attention, love, and care he needs. I am looking for a responsible person or family who can provide him with a safe environment, affection, and a lifelong commitment. My greatest wish is that he finds a home where he will be loved and cared for deeply.

Story
Milo was a rescued at 2 years old and I’ve been with every since. He the perfect pup except she is getting older and requires more frequent walks than I can provide him given my work schedule. He is 10 years old and turn 11 February 29th. Yes he’s a leap year baby. He is not on any medications currently but I recently found out that he is blind in the right eye and has weakness in his hind legs. Those things don’t keep him from having the zoomies outside in the yard though. He loves cuddles and is very affectionate. He is potty trained and knows several commands “sit, stay, gimme your paw, and lay, go get in the bed, go get in the cage, and you can ask him to give you his paw to find wants he wants from you like food water or potty. He is really smart. Since he doesn’t bark he will come and look at you when he wants something or has to potty. I could go on and on about how much of a good boy he is but it’s best if you see him yourself.

    Dexter is a loving guy however, he takes time to warm up to new people and it is on his time not yours. If he is just allowed to transition into his new home on his own, without a human trying to force it to quickly he will do fine. Does well with other dogs, no cats and no small children. We require   that you have a fenced in yard, not a "kennel" in the yard AND we do not approve underground fencing. Depending upon the dog some exceptions are made for those who live in apartments.   We also require that the adoptee will be a part of the family "living" within the home.
