Meet Benny! Benny is an adorable 6-year-old Maltese weighing just 9 pounds, and he is every bit as sweet as his name suggests. This happy little guy has a loving personality and a playful spirit that makes him an absolute joy to be around. Benny gets along great with other dogs and loves to play. Toss a sock or one of his favorite toys, and he’s off to retrieve it! He’ll even bring his toys to you when he’s ready for another round. When playtime is over, Benny is perfectly content being a lap dog and soaking up attention — especially tummy rubs, which are his favorite. He is house trained and will even bark at the back door to let you know when he needs to go outside. Benny rides well in the car, though he can be a little nervous at first. He is currently working on leash training and can get excited and pull, but with consistency, he’ll continue to improve. At bedtime, Benny much prefers snuggling up in bed with his people, though he has also done well sleeping in his own space. He has the cutest little “beg” trick — sitting up on his back legs with his paws in the air — which is sure to melt hearts at mealtime. Sweet, loving, and full of personality, Benny is truly a wonderful little companion ready to bring joy to his forever home.   Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications.   We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine.   The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. The first step to adopting is to fill out an application for adoption. Once approved we will arrange a time for you to meet the animal you are interested in. If it is a match the adoption can then be completed and you can take home your new furry family member. If it is not a match we will file your approved application and you can wait till you find the perfect match. ##2636716##
