Looking for your next furry BFF?   We don’t have perfect dogs — but we do have dogs who are perfect for the right someone. Our goal is to match each dog with the home that fits them best and each home with the dog that will sing to your heart. Ready to adopt? Complete an application at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org/application   Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet, SC Weight: 5.5 lbs Height: 9 in Spayed/Neutered: No Adoption Fee: $499 Fence needed? No Want To Know More About Me? Text Snickers to 864-441-9075 for an application. Or skip the text and go here www.carolinapoodlerescue.org/application Here's Your Quick Peek: Snickers is a little toy poodle with a playful spirit and a gentle heart who is just beginning to learn what life as a beloved pet can be. Raised in a breeding facility, he missed out on the everyday experiences most dogs take for granted, so human touch and affection can still feel scary and unfamiliar to him. When nervous, Snickers will skitter away and try to create distance - he simply needs patience, understanding, and time to feel safe. Please note - if you want to skip the text and go straight to the application, you can find the link here: www.carolinapoodlerescue.org/application/ Must have: A home with another dog and an experienced rescuer. Exercise: Medium. Snickers is a young dog. He does have knees that may require surgery as he ages. Appropriate weight maintenance is going to be important. He's also not built to run marathons with you. Best with: A calm, consistent, patient home that will offer him time and space to blossom into a confident dog. Not ideal for: First time dog owners, homes with young children, or homes looking for a dog that is going to snuggle immediately. Energy level: Medium What Snickers does know is how to be a dog with other dogs! He absolutely must have a confident canine companion in his forever home to help show him the ropes and give him comfort. Around other dogs, his silly, playful side starts to shine through, and you’ll see glimpses of the happy little pup he is becoming. Good with dogs: Definitely - he needs them Good with kids: Snickers has never lived with kids. Maybe if your kids are older and patient and will give him space. Cats: Snickers has never lived with cats. If you have them, let us know and we can test him. Fun fact: As timid as Snickers is about human touch, he is playful with canine companions. Potential Adopters   Dogs can’t drive - and since we’re busy taking care of them, we can’t either! Please check your potential BFF’s location and make sure you’re comfortable traveling to meet them. Story
Bandit is a rascally little guy ready for adventure!  He absolutely loves other dogs and, ideally, his new home will have at least one playful dog for mischief and fun.  The sheer joy this boy has while running through the yard chasing bees is the cutest thing you will ever see.  Therefore, a securely fenced yard will be a must for him.  Bandit is a busy body, and he will find stray socks that you thought you lost 2 years ago by diving and squeezing under any bed or dresser that he can fit under.  He collects his trophies on his bed and then scatters them around right after you clean up.   Bandit has proven to be a cat and chicken chaser, so he does have his mischievous side.   He weighs 7 pounds, but isn't fond of being carried around; he's very wiggly and tries to escape your grasp, so this boy won't reach arm candy status until he's an old man. Bandit will require regular grooming every 8 weeks which will be at least $60 and we highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Please take these factors into consideration.  Bandit's adoption fee is $500. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC. May 13, 2026, 1:54 am

He absolutely needs another dog in his home - he takes so much comfort in their presence and truly lights up around his canine friends. Hershey can be a little nervous and submissive at first, but underneath it all is the sweetest boy just waiting for someone patient and kind to help him keep blossoming.
