Story
Meet Pinkie, who comes to us from the community. She is a 2–4-year-old, 23 lb., Maltese mix. Pinkie has had her 1st set of shots, microchip and is heartworm negative. She is very cautious at first but then starts begging for your attention. She is crate-trained and gets along with all size dogs and cats. Pinkie walks well on a leash also. If interested, please send us your email address to obtain an Adoption Application.

Story
This pet was brought in as a stray and will NOT be available for adoption through our program. All stray animals brought in are posted on the gallery to hopefully be reunited with their families. Each pet is evaluated upon arrival, and throughout their stay, at the Animal Center and we do our best to place the animal in the setting most appropriate for them. Sometimes, they may be better served through one of our Transfer Partners due to the intervention needed, ongoing care required or a quieter setting for that individual. We want our animals to put their best paw forward. If you are a 501c3 rescue and are interested in partnering with WCAC to help this pet, and others, you can find more information on how to help at: https://www.wakegov.com/departments-government/animal-services/community-partners/transfer-program If this is your pet, please contact us immediately at AnimalCenter@wakegov.com Primary Color: White Weight: 10 Age: 16yrs 0mths 0wks

Story
Hi - Sophie is about 14 years old (I can't remember her exact birth date). She is very playful, thinks every dog she meets should want to play with her and be her friend. She's great with kids. I put unknown as far as house-trained because when I had a house with a fenced yard and a doggie door she did great. Since I moved here I've had an apartment and with working all day she has used a pee pad, so I guess it's all in your definition of trained. She does have an occasional small cough and has been checked out by the vet, including x-rays. The vet says there's nothing wrong, just a small esophagus that gets irritated at times. I'm moving to a place that does not accept pets and would really like to get her into a home with someone who will give her attention and take her out for walks.

Story
This bonded pair is described as laidback and loving! They enjoy the fenced yard and love sleeping on comfy dog beds and furniture in their foster home. Denali is around 20lbs and 8 years old! They have been very well mannered and house trained! They love ear and butt scratches, and belly rubs. Whimsy will give you all the wet kisses but Denali isn’t a kisser. They currently live with 8 other dogs, but they prefer each other’s company best! They are both spayed/neutered, microchipped, and on monthly flea and tick prevention. Their combined adoption fee is $300. Apply today at mpravl.org !  All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC. February 29, 2024, 4:48 pm
