QUICK FACTS Name: Kkaedol Age: 8 years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Maltese Color: White Weight: 3 kg / 6.6 lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I once had a forever home and a caretaker who loved and cared for me. Unfortunately, my caretaker’s health suddenly declined, and they could no longer give me the care and attention I deserved. Wanting the best for me, the difficult decision was made to find me a new loving home. Although saying goodbye to the life I knew wasn’t easy, I’m ready to begin a new chapter. I already know how wonderful it feels to be part of a family, and now I’m hoping to find another special person who will welcome me into their heart and give me a safe, loving home for the rest of my life.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues I have a slightly longer tongue, so you may catch it adorably peeking out from time to time! It doesn’t cause me any discomfort or affect my daily life in any way. It’s simply one of my cute little features that makes me uniquely me.   MY PERSONALITY My previous family loved me and truly wanted the best for me. Unfortunately, when my caretaker’s health significantly declined, they had to make the difficult decision to find me a new home where I could continue receiving all the love and care I deserve. Having my whole world suddenly change has been a big adjustment, but I’m handling it beautifully. I’m a healthy, affectionate boy who absolutely loves people, and even in a completely new environment, I happily follow everyone around looking for pets, attention, and companionship. During my profile photoshoot, I even kept climbing onto one of the staff members’ backs because apparently I decided I deserved a piggyback ride! I may be starting over, but my loving and trusting personality hasn’t changed. I already know what it means to be part of a family, and I’m ready to find someone special to share that love with again.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m super friendly with people and love greeting everyone I meet! I happily soak up pets, affection, and attention and am always excited to make a new human friend. I’m comfortable being picked up and held, and once I feel at ease with you, I’ll even roll over and show you my belly for some extra love and belly rubs. · With Dogs: I enjoy greeting new dogs and making friends, but I’m definitely more of a people’s pup at heart! I prefer to take my time rather than jumping straight into play and am perfectly happy doing my own thing. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk well on leash and follow my handler’s lead nicely, making me an enjoyable walking companion. I also have great manners around food and don’t guard my meals or treats from either people or other dogs. I don’t currently show signs of separation anxiety, but because I’m such a people oriented boy who forms strong bonds, I may become deeply attached to my forever family. Continuing to encourage healthy independence from the beginning will help me feel secure and confident even when my favourite people aren’t right beside me. I’m also a quiet boy who rarely barks and already know how to settle and rest calmly in my kennel. Despite all the recent changes in my life, I’m adjusting beautifully and showing everyone what a sweet and adaptable companion I can be.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I’m an incredibly sweet and affectionate boy who simply loves being around people. Even though my whole world has recently changed, I’ve handled everything with such a gentle and trusting heart. I happily follow people around, seek out pets and affection, and just want to be included in whatever my humans are doing. During my profile photoshoot, I even kept climbing onto a staff member’s back for a piggyback ride! I already have so many wonderful qualities for home life. I walk nicely on leash, rarely bark, settle calmly in my kennel, and have excellent manners around food. Most importantly, I already know what it means to love and be loved by a family. My previous family wanted the very best for me, and now the volunteers and staff want the same. They’re especially hopeful that I’ll find a loving home where I can spend my senior years surrounded by comfort, companionship, and all the affection I deserve. I may be an older gentleman, but I still have so much love to give and so many happy memories left to make with my new family.   KKAEDOL'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2828490##

Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Chérie Age: 1 year and a half Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Maltese Color: White Weight:  3kg / 6.6lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a city pound where I had sadly been placed on the euthanasia list. Through no fault of my own, I was running out of time and my future was uncertain. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in just in time and gave me the second chance I desperately needed. Those scary days are behind me now, and I’m ready to look toward a much brighter future. All I’m missing is a forever family who will cherish me, keep me safe, and love me as a true member of the family for the rest of my life.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I absolutely love people and seem to believe that everyone I meet is a new best friend! I open up very easily and am so affectionate that I may happily climb onto your lap even when we’ve only just met. Being close to people is where I’m happiest, and I’ll gladly soak up all the cuddles, pets, and attention you have to give. Because I crave human companionship and form strong attachments, I may be prone to developing separation anxiety once I bond with my forever family. Helping me build healthy independence from the beginning will be important. I’m also a smart girl who already knows how to sit and wait! Despite being abandoned after having most of my fur shaved off, I haven’t lost my trust in people. I still approach everyone with an open heart and so much love to give. All I’m looking for now is a family who will return that love and show me that this time, I’m truly home.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I absolutely love people! Everyone I meet instantly becomes my new best friend, and I’m always excited to soak up all the attention, pets, and affection you have to give. I’m incredibly trusting and comfortable being close to people, and I happily allow myself to be picked up and held. If you’re looking for a little companion who will happily shower you with love from the moment we meet, I might just be your girl. · With Dogs: I like greeting new dogs and am happy to make new canine friends, but I don’t usually jump straight into play. I prefer taking things at my own pace and am often perfectly content doing my own thing. Very energetic or overly playful dogs can sometimes overwhelm me, so I’m most comfortable around calm and respectful canine friends who understand my boundaries. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is currently unknown, but a cat test can be arranged upon request to help ensure the best match for my future home. During walks, I sometimes notice cats and watch them with curiosity, but I quickly lose interest and happily continue on my way. Because I love being around people and form strong bonds, I may become prone to separation anxiety as I grow attached to my forever family. Patience, consistent training, and helping me build healthy independence from the beginning will benefit me in the long run. I rarely bark and know how to settle and rest calmly in my kennel. If I’m left alone for longer periods, I may let out a few soft whines, but I’m not particularly loud. For potty habits, I currently go both indoors using pee pads and outdoors. Since I’m a small girl who loves following my people everywhere, I may also try to sneak through the door behind you. My future family should be mindful when opening doors, especially in new environments, and make sure small openings are securely closed.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I’m an incredibly affectionate girl with so much love to give. People are truly my favorite thing in the world, and I seem to believe that everyone I meet is simply a new best friend waiting to happen. I love sitting on laps, being held, following my favorite humans around, and soaking up every bit of affection I can get. I also have one especially adorable feature that makes me stand out: my naturally pink “eyeliner”! The soft pink around my eyes gives me such a sweet and unique expression, and paired with my affectionate personality, it’s pretty hard not to fall in love with me. From my condition when I was found, the staff and volunteers could tell that I likely hadn’t come from the loving and caring environment every dog deserves. Yet somehow, I haven’t let my past change the way I see people. I still trust so easily and approach everyone with an open heart. Everyone who spends time with me hopes that my next chapter will be completely different. The staff and volunteers want nothing more than to see me find a family who will truly cherish me, protect me, and treat me like the precious little girl I am. I’ve already shown just how much love I’m capable of giving. Now I deserve a family who will give that same love back to me for the rest of my life.   CHÉRIE'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2830459##

TOFFEE APPLICATIONS PAUSED! We’ve received so many applications for Toffee, so we’re pausing new applications for now. Please check out our other adoptable dogs too — so many amazing pups are still waiting!   Meet Toffee — A Sweet, People-Loving Little Gentleman!   Name: Toffee Age: 7 years old Sex: Neutered Male Breed: Maltese / Poodle Mix Colour: Brown Weight: 3.8 kg (8.4 lbs) Height: 28 cm (11 in) at the shoulder   Rescue Story   Toffee was found wandering around an apartment complex and was brought to a municipal shelter. He is now looking for a loving forever home where he can enjoy plenty of affection and companionship.   Personality & People   Toffee is a very friendly and affectionate little guy who genuinely loves people. He happily approaches both familiar faces and strangers, rubs against them for attention, and is comfortable being touched and handled.   He can easily be picked up with an arm under his belly and will even show his belly to people he has just met. He’s the type of dog who would much rather be close to his humans than off doing his own thing.   With Other Dogs   Toffee will approach unfamiliar dogs to say hello, but he generally isn’t interested in playing with them. He definitely prefers people over dogs.   He can feel intimidated by larger or high-energy dogs and will usually avoid them. He also doesn’t appreciate dogs who repeatedly pester him to play, so a home where his personal space is respected would suit him best.   With Cats   Toffee’s reaction to cats has not yet been observed, but a cat test can be arranged upon request.   Energy Level   Toffee has a moderate energy level. He enjoys getting outside and being active, but after his outdoor time, he is happy to settle down and relax quietly.   Walking   Toffee is an experienced and enjoyable walking companion. He loves going for walks, follows his handler well, and generally walks nicely without pulling on the leash.   Other Behaviours   • No food guarding toward people or other dogs • Generally calm when placed in a kennel, but if he makes eye contact with someone, he may whine or bark to ask to be let out • Primarily does his business outdoors    Health Note:Toffee recently had a dental cleaning and 9 teeth extracted due to poor dental condition when he was rescued. He is currently eating dry kibble without any issues. Other than his dental condition, we have not been informed of any other health concerns at this time.   Toffee would be a wonderful match for someone looking for a small, affectionate companion who enjoys walks but is equally happy relaxing by your side. At 7 years old, he’s past the puppy stage and knows exactly what he loves most: his people. Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org  PLEASE ALSO VISIT OUR FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM! Story
If you’re looking for a loyal little companion who will make you smile every day, Sunny just might be your perfect match.Sunny is a charming little puppy of about 8 months old, who takes a little time to warm up to new people. He’s naturally a bit reserved at first, but once you’ve earned his trust, you’ll discover an incredibly affectionate cuddle bug who absolutely loves snuggling up beside you - especially on the bed!Sunny enjoys spending time outdoors, racing around the backyard doing zoomies before coming back inside to relax with his people. While he would enjoy having another canine companion, he’s equally happy being the only dog, provided he has someone to love. He can be a little bossy with other dogs and doesn’t always like sharing high-value items like toys or treats, so proper introductions and supervision are important.Sunny is doing well with his house training. He happily goes outside but will also use a puppy pad when needed. He’s comfortable walking on a collar (a harness isn’t his favourite) and enjoys getting out to explore.Like many young dogs, Sunny has a few quirks that only make him more endearing. He has a talent for “borrowing” socks and clothing if they’re left within reach, so keeping the laundry picked up is a must! He’s also happiest in a home where someone is around much of the time, as he can become anxious when left alone.Because Sunny can be vocal and bark at unfamiliar people, he would do best in a detached home rather than an apartment or condo. We also feel he’d be happiest in a home without young children. A securely fenced yard would be ideal, giving him a safe place to run, play, and burn off his playful energy.Sunny is considered a flight risk, so his future family will need to be committed to keeping him safely secured on walks and around open doors and gates. If you’re patient enough to let this sweet boy build trust at his own pace, you’ll be rewarded with a loving, loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be close to his people. His new family will also need to keep up with his grooming as he does have a long growing coat and regular professional grooming would be recommended to keep him comfortable and free of mats.Just look at that face...could Sunny be the sunshine your home has been missing? Please note that due to the high volume of applications our volunteers process, we will only contact those with a strong potential for a success

Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Gippeum Age: About 4 Years Old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Jindo – Maltese Mix Color: White and Brown Weight: 5kg / 11lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a city shelter after being placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, rescuers stepped in just in time and gave me a second chance to move forward in safety and care. Now, I’m looking ahead to a brighter future and hoping to begin my next chapter with a loving forever family.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues Patellar luxation surgery completed on both legs   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Gippeum! I’m a very petite Jindo mix with a little bit of a Maltese-like look and personality that makes me especially charming. When I first arrive somewhere unfamiliar, I can be timid and may try to hide while I figure out what’s going on. Thankfully, my cautious phase usually doesn’t last very long. Once I realize the people around me are safe, I warm up quickly and genuinely enjoy being around them. I have a funny little brave act that sometimes comes out when I’m nervous. I might bark and try my best to look tough, but underneath that performance, I’m actually a sensitive, slightly fearful softie. If someone needs to pick me up, my tough-girl act quickly disappears—I give in and let myself be held without much fuss. Because I’m naturally such a gentle dog, getting to know me and building a relationship with me isn’t particularly difficult. I’d be happiest with a family who can understand that my occasional big voice doesn’t necessarily mean I’m feeling as brave as I sound. Give me a little reassurance when the world feels unfamiliar, and you’ll discover a tiny, gentle companion who warms up quickly and enjoys being close to her people. A compatible friend could be a wonderful source of confidence for me, but most importantly, I’m looking for people who will appreciate both sides of me—the little girl who occasionally pretends to be tough and the sweet softie hiding underneath.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy when meeting someone new, especially in an unfamiliar environment. I’ll happily accept treats, but I prefer to take a little more time getting to know you before I’m comfortable being petted. Once I feel more at ease, I’m also comfortable being gently picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly. · With Dogs: I’m friendly and social with other dogs, and I enjoy approaching both familiar and new dogs to say hello and invite them to play. I generally do well with dogs around my own size and tend to feel more secure when I have another dog nearby. I naturally look to other dogs for reassurance, and having a companion around can help me feel more comfortable and settled. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward. I have experience with walks and generally follow my person well. I may pull on the leash at times, but overall, I’m responsive to guidance and comfortable walking alongside my person.   TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food around people or other dogs I’m calm and settled when I’m in a kennel. When there’s something I really want, I may use a little demand barking to let you know. I’m accustomed to doing my business outdoors and generally prefer outdoor potty breaks.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES Having another dog around can help me feel more secure. A friend gives me reassurance, especially when I’m adjusting to something unfamiliar. With a little time, positive experiences, and the comfort of knowing I’m safe, I’m able to let my sweeter, more social side come forward.    GIPPEUM'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2820940##
