Story
Reba is a 5-month-old Maltese–Yorkie mix weighing approximately 7 lbs, and she’s every bit the sweet, loving puppy you’d hope for. Like all puppies, Reba will need a family committed to patience, consistency, and working on the basics as she continues to learn and grow. Because of the cold weather, Reba hasn’t had many walks yet, but she is pee-pad trained and doing well with that routine. She will need continued guidance as she transitions to outdoor walks. Reba is comfortable using her crate at times; however, her true preference is sleeping on the bed with her people. For that reason, we’re looking for a family who is happy to share their bed with a snuggly pup. Reba has not yet been spayed but will be soon. She is up to date on her vaccinations and is an absolute love bug. She’s currently doing very well with the other dogs in her foster home and genuinely enjoys the company of all the people she meets. One thing to note is that Reba is not a fan of the car at this time and does experience some car sickness. We believe this is due to limited exposure, and with time and positive experiences, this is something she can hopefully overcome. Reba was surrendered through no fault of her own—her previous owners took excellent care of her. We feel she would do best in a home with a backyard, ideally fenced, where she can safely explore and play as she grows. Reba is currently being fostered in Whitby. If you think this sweet girl sounds like the perfect match for your family, please apply. ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details! An application for me can be found at www.justpaws.ca. Just Paws is located in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. We do not adopt out of province or country. Please note that although many of our dogs get along with children, we are not able to adopt to any household with kids under the age of 8 years old. This is a stipulation of our insurance and is not a reflection on suitability of the potential adopter.

People say I have the kind of charm that makes them smile right away. I adore being close to humans leaning in, snuggling, and soaking up every bit of affection. If you pick me up in your arms, I’ll happily settle in and enjoy the comfort of your presence. I’m calm and gentle by nature. I don’t need constant activity to feel content quiet moments together are my favorite. Whether it’s resting nearby while you read or napping while you go about your day, I bring a soft, steady kind of joy to those around me.   My Social Life• With People: I’m very people-oriented and enjoy greeting both friends and new faces with warmth. I love being petted and am comfortable being held.• With Other Dogs: I prefer calm company. Energetic dogs can feel overwhelming, so I usually keep to myself when other pups are around.• With Cats: I once lived in a place where cats were present, so I know how to share space peacefully.   On My WalksWalks are an adventure for my nose! I like to take things at my own pace, stopping often to sniff and explore the world through scent. I’m not in a rush for me, every little pause is part of the joy.   Life at HomeI’m a wonderfully easy housemate. I rarely bark, I use both indoor pads and outdoor spaces for potty time. During meals, I appreciate having a little space if other dogs are nearby, but with people, I’m gentle and trusting.   My Ideal HomeI dream of a kindhearted family who values calm companionship and gentle affection. A quiet home where I can feel safe and loved would be perfect for me. I don’t ask for much just a warm heart, a cozy spot to rest, and someone to share my days with. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle little soul to bring warmth and comfort into your life, I may be just the one for you. I’m ready to start my new chapter and give all the love I have to my forever family.   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here!Manbok’s YouTube Playlist ##2508813##

Story
Echo Age: 2 years Sex: Neutered male Breed: Maltese/Terrier mix Color: White Weight: 9.1 kg (20 lbs) Height: 38 cm (15 in)   Echo is deaf (he cannot hear). He relies on visual cues and human guidance, and stays very attentive to his person.   Rescue Story: Echo was rescued from an animal hoarding situation where over 230 dogs were being kept.   Human Socialization   Echo is a very affectionate and friendly boy. He approaches both familiar people and strangers, rubs against them, and enjoys being petted. He likes both men and women and does well with children under 13 (he simply shows little interest). He is comfortable being picked up, and once he bonds with you, he loves showing his belly for rubs   Dog Socialization   Echo is friendly with both familiar and unfamiliar dogs and happily goes up to greet them. He doesn’t quite know how to “play properly” yet and mostly just runs around excitedly. He is not afraid of larger dogs, though he usually prefers dogs of similar size. If another dog provokes him, he tends to avoid conflict and gets along well without issues. After playtime, he usually likes to rest in his own quiet space.   Cats   His reaction to cats has not been observed yet, but a cat test can be arranged.   Energy Level   Low energy. Echo is a calm dog who enjoys relaxing and resting most of the time   Walks   Echo only recently started going on walks, so he is still learning to explore and sniff around. However, he walks nicely without pulling and follows his human well. Since he is deaf, he relies heavily on visual cues and tends to stay close and attentive to his handler.   Other Behaviors   Echo does not resource guard food with either people or dogs and is not particularly food-motivated.   Because he was born and raised among many dogs, he has some baseline separation anxiety. When first placed in a new environment—especially since he is deaf—he may feel anxious if he cannot see his person. In the past, he showed behaviors like scratching walls, the floor, or tearing pee pads.   However, once he adjusts, he becomes very relaxed, sleeps well, and can stay alone comfortably. He rarely barks and is currently doing both indoor pee pad training and outdoor potty.   Foster History   • First foster home: About 2 weeks. No howling when left alone, but scratched at closed doors. • Second foster home: About 1.5 months. Did well staying alone. • Current: Staying at the AKR Center.   Echo is a gentle, quiet, and loving soul. He may need a little patience during the initial adjustment period, but once he feels safe, he becomes an incredibly easy and calm companion who just wants to stay close to his person.
